With His eyes the world... For Christians of all denominations who want to experience a transformation of the heart from judgment to love. This beautifully written memoir-essay explores the realities of Papa God s love for you, your identity as His beloved child and heir, and the transformation of your vision of yourself, others, and world events that this revelation of your place in the divine family brings.
You can’t work your way into Heaven and you can’t buy your way into Heaven. However, Love IS the answer. God’s love for us when he gave his son to die for our sins and demonstration of God’s love through us is what is required. As I read this book it made me think back to a job interview. I’m a teacher and the principal was interviewing me for a position at his school. He asked me how I handled those kids that are not real lovable and easy to get along with. I never hesitated in my answer because it is what I do each day. My prayer each morning is, “Dear Lord, please help me love the unlovable. Today the unlovables seem to be….” My sister and I were having some problems earlier in our life. She told me it would be so much easier for her to deal with me if I would just hate her. When I told her I couldn’t hate her, she was my sister and I loved her, she hung up on me. No matter what evil thing she did to me I still loved her. This is not easy to do, but it is required by God. God does everything through love and that is what this book shows us. We must live this way daily to transform our lives.
I will gladly place this book into the hands of my pastor. He recommends books to our congregation all the time and I believe this is one that should be in our church bookstore.
Leif is an amazing guy who examples relationship with the Father almost as good as Jesus Himself. We are told in the bible that our life can be an exciting adventurous life waking up asking Papa God what's next? Leif, being Leif actually, is this man who seeks Papa's plan each day. In his book Seeing Through Heaven's eyes he motivates the reader to find their own personal plan and live it from the Father. Not the scary guy we have been taught by religion that Father God is. Another good one from Leif....
I thoroughly enjoyed Leif's perspective of the Father's love and seeing things the way He sees them. Leif went through a lot to get where he is and it has paid off. I particularly liked his explanation of what a caterpillar must go through to become a butterfly. Moving from an earthbound creature to one with wings free to fly cost you everything, but Leif make the proposition an attractive one. For the joy set before him ...
Great book. I kept crying while reading it - people on the bus must have been wondering about me, but it was such an awesome description of God's love I couldn't help it.
While a difficult topic, the Nuremberg Trials and those who orchestrated some of the cruelest and most atrocious atrocities inflicted upon humans, it’s about the chaplain assigned to serve those accused and his love and service to his and our Savior, Jesus Christ the Messiah.
Chaplain Gerecke was called into this service much like Jesus was called into God’s service to honor and glorify Him. That’s all believer’s calling.
God creates all humans and all of us sin against Abba God and each other. Only through Jesus’ atonement, can we have hope in reconciliation with Him. Chaplain Gerecke’s call wasn’t to be judge, for only God will and can, but to walk along side those in trial and point to Jesus and His salvation works.
Chaplain Gerecke exemplified this calling at Nuremberg, Menard Prison and everywhere he served. His sharing about those he ministered too and their responses makes this a captivating read,
Like many in today’s highly polarized and secularized world, those living in darkness, there is opportunity for atonement and restoration. May God put us all in time-outs like Nuremberg and give us the opportunity for repentance and restoration.
Este libro re enfoca nuestra comprensión de las cosas cotidianas y nuestra relación con Dios. No estoy de acuerdo con todo lo que el autor dice pero no se puede negar que es un libro inspirador
With 'Seeing through heaven's eyes', Leif Hetland wrote quite an inspiring read. Using many examples from his own life, makes this an interesting as well as a challenging book. Yes, God loves us, but are we able to see other people with that same love?
I enjoyed this book; it changed my perspective on Love for the Father. However, I did become lost at times as I didn’t quite understand what the author was saying.
