Finn Zwake is determined to find his missing parents. He's certain the cryptic message left for him in Iceland points directly to the an island close to New Zealand, so that is where he heads. Unfortunately, a big storm blows him overboard and off course. Meeting up with the pirates doesn't help either. Strangely enough, they are being murdered one at a time and the captain blames him! He has to find the true killer and prove his innocence (plus avoid being murdered himself) before time runs out for him, so he can get back to the search for his parents.

Good fun. Finn's observations and wisecracks kept it entertaining and there was just the right amount of suspense.

The book that I read was the coral coffin.the coral coffin by Michael Dahl it is about Finn a boy who was hit bye a thunderstorm in the ocean while they were looking for his parents.in there journey they are captured by pirates.but while on the ship someone is killing the crew. They have to figure ou who it is or else they will be killed.the main characters in the story are Finn and his uncle.the main problem is the book is that they are looking for his parents and they are captured by pirates.one thing I liked about the book was that the book wasn’t boring to read also the plot wasn’t slow . One thing the author should have done is use not details like when he was talking about the pirate. I rate the book 6/10.over all I liked the book and would read it again.
