Op het punt zijn doel te bereiken werd Caesar echter door een groep moordenaars in het gebouw van de Romeinse Senaat om het leven gebracht.

Honestly, this is a great book. Easy to understand, to read and doesn't bombard you with facts and fancy language. I'm using this for a report of the dictator himself, and it definitely serves as the base for the outline. The times his tales of war were talked about, I got sort of confused but that could just be me.

These books may be over fifty years old, but they are very nicely done and a good introduction to world history. While I suspect they are aimed at junior high and up, they could be read by an advanced middle school child. They also have enough in them to satisfy an adult reader who wants a good basic overview of the subject. I own the complete set, and often pick one up for a bit of lighter reading. My daughter also used some of them as reference material in her high school history courses.

This is an introductory biography of Julius Caesar, illustrated on virtually every page. Seeking a light read, an elementary overview of Caesar's life and having this edition at hand, I made quick work of it.
