Howard R. Wallach began performing on both the jazz and classical guitar at the of ten. He studied with guitar at the Conservatory of Lausanne in Switzerland, then received his B.A. in Music from John Hopkins University.

I first got this book as a beginner and it helped introduce me to a lot of Spanish classics and guitar techniques like tremolo, and was good material to learn how to read music.
