Forty-something divorcée Cate Roberts was always a pushover when it came to her little sister, but agreeing to pose for the cover of Zoe’s romance novel might be taking it too far. Especially when she’s confronted with the male lead, Bo Gaddis. It’s a good thing that Bo is gay, and much too young for her, because Cate could easily see herself falling for the embodiment of every romance lover’s dream man. Bo never renounced the rumor that he was gay. In fact, it helped his career, and helped him stick to his strict rule about sleeping with his co-model. That’s about to be tested though, because Cate is everything he wanted in a woman. If only he can convince her that age isn’t a factor, and he’s not only straight, but very attracted to her.
Olivia's Goodreads account is pretty slim. Look for Alanna Coca's Account (http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/... see what she's reading. To keep Goodreads reader-oriented, Olivia does not leave ratings on books she's read, nor does she comment on reviews, but she appreciates each and every reader who invests time in her work.
Olivia Brynn is the very saucy alter ego of romance author Alanna Coca. Olivia was the one who lured Alanna into trouble as a child. She also would have been the one to get her mouth washed out with soap. Since controlling Olivia wasn't as easy as she thought, Alanna decided to set her alter ego free with Olivia's first book, For a Price, a story about one woman's journey to sell her virginity. Other books followed, earning five-star reviews and bestselling status. Alanna realized what fun Olivia had writing sexy romances without censor.
Olivia writes contemporary erotic romance near a window where the view of the Rocky Mountains beckons her to run naked through the tall foothill grasses. Except when it snows.
After reading a short blurb for one of Ms Alanna Coca's novels and then wandering over to her website to discover she also writes under the name of Olivia Brynn, I experienced a few moments of indecision, not sure which of her e-books to pop into my shopping cart: one of the mainstream romances written as Alanna Coca, or one of the erotic novels penned as Olivia Brynn.
The storyline for Cover Story tipped the scales: an attractive middle-aged lady with a son in college reluctantly agrees to pose for the cover art of one of her kid sister's novels, reassured that the male model is gay.
Not much of a story, but for years I've been intrigued by the process of creating cover art and was hoping to learn a little more. In that I was a little disappointed. Just a few pages into this novella the two models are locked in orgasmic ecstasy and the fireworks continue for the rest of the book.
Straight, no-frills erotica with no pretensions to arty character development or clever plot twists. I found this pleasantly refreshing and thoroughly enjoyed the enthusiastic sex romp.
Having said that, kudos to Ms Brynn for her simple but moving description of first-time model Cate's diffidence and lack of confidence.
You know those book covers with the really hot looking guys and the beautiful women? Have you ever fantasized about being that woman? Well, Cate Roberts gets to live out that fantasy when her younger sister Zoe talks her into posing for the cover of her new book – Four Seasons - as Cassandra, the heroine. Bo Gaddis, the current romance novel cover heartthrob is going to be posing as Lucas, the hero of the story.
Cover Story is a tastefully written and incredibly hot story that has you turning the pages to find out where the fantasy takes Cate. It is very sensual and I thoroughly enjoyed it. You’ll find yourself wanting to read it again – preferably with a partner nearby! Fans of contemporary erotic romance are going to love this one.
Hot! A lot of authors struggle to make a cougar story sexy (older woman, younger man). A lot of the time the female lead just has too many issues.
All women have issues with how they look when faced with a hunk of a man. Cate is no different in that regard. What's different with her compared to a lot of other books in the same genre, is that when Bo tells her she's sexy, she believes him and gets over her issues quickly. Which makes for a very pleasant read.
My one tiff with this one, is that it's too short. I really liked these characters and wouldn't mind revisiting them.
