What if you can go home again?

Ten years and two hundred miles. That's what separates Andi Powell from quiet, secluded Emerald Lake-and that's exactly how she likes it. But now her job brings her back to the hometown she's tried so hard to forget . . . and to Nate Duncan, the man she's never been able to.

Nate once looked at Andi with love in his eyes. But that was before s

The Best is Yet to Come by Bella Andre was the start of a new series, Summer Lake. It was a spinoff from the New York Sullivan series.

Calvin Vaughn was the Mayor of Summer Lake, the beautiful small town tucked in the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York. He lost his parents young and was raising his ten year old sister as a single parent. He loved Summer Lake, the small town feel and everything it represented. It was a great place to raise a family. He had everything he wanted except for a f

When I want a true romance, I turn to Bella Andre. I love the way she brings her characters full circle; the way she weaves the story around everyone surrounding the main characters and makes them a significant part of the story-line; and, the love that just pours of the pages making it a living thing.

Calvin and Sarah were no exception. They were both frustrating and fun. When they got together, they were sizzling … even when they disagreed. But, it’s going to take a lot for Calvin to truly trus

I think this has been done before. Actually, I'm almost pretty sure. I have seen a plot like this. I just can't pin point it exactly. It's in this sea of romance books. One with second chance romances where someone leaves (majority of time for misunderstanding)when they graduate high school. I just can't place it. LMAO. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
And to make it different the heroine is not likable. Who would thought of that? (Info I get from a couple of reviews).

It is 5am EST and I just finished reading. I couldn't stop and now I just want to post this review while the story is still fresh in my mind.

Wow! I did not expect it to be so emotional! I'm sometimes wary of spin offs, as they, most often than not, come up short of the original, but The Best Is Yet To Come has exceeded all my expectations. This is great a second chance love story, with lovable characters (who wouldn

THE BEST IS YET TO COME is the first book in the Sullivans spin off series by Bella Andre. While you don’t need to have read the other series in order to understand this one, there are quite a few references to the other characters made throughout this book so I would just keep that in mind while reading it.

As you can expect from Bella Andre, this book is filled with sweetness and charm. Set at Summer Lake in the Adirondacks, it definitely captures the summer feeling well. This book was actual

Andi Powell has returned to her small hometown of Emerald Lake to not only be there to commemorate her beloved, deceased father along with the rest of the town, but to save her job. The company she works for in New York City as a management consultant, wants to build condominiums in a perfect vacation town. Andi automatically thinks of Emerald Lake, although she hasn’t been back since she left to go away to college, other than a holiday here and there. Her mother and grandmother love the small t ...more

Darn you Bella Andre, you made me cry!!!
Bless you Bella Andre, you took me deep enough into a book for a HUGE emotional cry!!! I do not know which story made me cry more Sarah and Calvin, or Olive and Carlos. What do I mean by “which story”? Sorry, you will need to read the book to find out.
I really LOVE the second chance love story of Calvin and Sarah. The angst of feelings throughout the whole story, wow! One of my favorite lines in the book: “It’s okay to be scared, pretty Olive. B

Five Amazing Stars

I was so absolutely thrilled to now finally read the first amazing book from now the series, Summer Lake. Written by the most favourite author, Bella Andre. I thoroughly adored this most beautiful romantic tale. This first book seems to catch the most magically warmth in all this characters that live around Summer Lake. Such a magical love story to tell.

Sarah Barstow now had spent many hours travelling back to her family's house. Returning back to the house s

Received a ARC for review.

I love Bella Andre and I love the Sullivans. I liked this book, but it wasn't awesome like the Sullivans. The female lead character was not very likable. I loved Calvin and I loved the town, but she just rubbed me the wrong way, only in the end she redeemed herself.

I just couldn't get her aversion to the town, it didn't make sense, I mean if you had a bad experience I could understand, but she had a wonderful childhood there and she had wonderful parents, so really di

Good read

A sweet second chance story set in the idyllic fictional Summer Lake we first visited with the NY Sullivans. Sarah and Calvin are reunited when Sarah returns to Summer Lake. She left for college and never returned. He stayed due to responsibilities. Recommended read

A heartfelt look at young love, tragedy, and learning to see yourself for who you are. The romance was so bittersweet at times...so many lost years; but true Love always prevails. If you love the Sullivan's, you will love the folks of Summer Lake.

A new series from Bella Andre with some familiar characters but can definitely be read as a standalone.
Loved it. Great characters. Passion, love and romance at its best.
Cannot wait to read the next in the series.

Andi and Nate have the perfect high school romance living in their small town of Emerald Lake. After finishing high school, Andi, driven by her state senator father, heads off for college in the big city. Despite the distance, Nate and Andi do a great job of maintaining their relationship.
When tragedy strikes Nate, Andi rushes home immediately to be by his side. Before she leaves, Nate asks her to make the ultimate sacrifice; to stay in Emerald Lake with him. Andi’s worked hard to get to the pla

In one word--Wonderful

Home Sweet Home is a story of going home only Andi Powell has ulterior motives. I really have to say I didn't like Andi at all. She came across as one of the coldest excuses of woman I have read. Her priorities are just all wrong for me from her younger years when she turned her back on Nate when he needed her so badly up until present day when she bounces back into her hometown head strong on trying to make huge changes to a place she left ten years ago and expecting folks

The Best Is Yet To Come Sarah Barstow comes from a family of extraordinary women, but somewhere along the way she lost the strength to back it up. She left home to find herself and wound up losing more than she could have ever dreamed. Calvin Vaughn has seen his share of tragedies. From losing his parents in the most heartbreaking of ways to finding out that sometimes love, may just not be enough. In his darkest moments, his brightest light of hope was his precious sister that gave him the will ...more

The characters and plot did not engage me. I skimmed ahead to see if there were any story elements that would keep me interested but there were not. I love small town stories that have a very modern feel, yet this one didn't. There was also a lot of knitting metaphors which I didn't really relate to (though the knitting needles and wool on the cover should have given me a clue this plays a big part in the book). The heroine knitting a thread of hair into the hero's sweater was also a bit strange ...more

I was excited to have the chance to read Bella Andre's newest Sullivans spin-off, The Best Is Yet to Come. I've always been a fan of the Sullivan family and their friends. In The Best Is Yet to Come, we get to know Calvin from the New York Sullivans series better.

Years ago, Sarah and Calvin were more than just lovers. They were everything to each other. When an unforeseen tragedy struck, th

Two love stories being delivered at the same time. One in the present, one in the past. Can the lessons learned in the past prevent tragedy in the present?

Sarah Bartow has come home to Summer Lake. Not for her family or the past but because of her job. During a meeting with a client, Sarah brought up her hometown. Now she's supposed to sell the small town on building condos. Of course the new mayor & head of the architectural review board has to be the boy she left behind, Calvin Vaughn.

I am a big Bella Andre fan and I have read all her books. I am a BIG Sullivan fan and this story is the first in a series of books not about the Sullivans but rather the city the NY Sullivans live in called Summer Lake.

Its star is Calvin, who is the mayor and who we have met in the NY Sullivan stories. I totally loved him and was excited to read his story and meet his heroine.

Sarah Barstow and Calvin Vaughn grew up in Summer Lake in the Adirondacks and were so in love. Sarah went off to college and Calvin stayed in Summer Lake to help his father raise his baby sister since his mother sided in child birth. One day Sarah got an upsetting call from Calvin telling her that he walked in his home and found his father dead as he shot himself. Sarah came straight home to be with Calvin. "The Best is Yet to Come" is written by Bella Andre, and it is the 1st book in her Summer Lake series. It can be read as a stand-alone book. It features Sarah Bartow and Calvin Vaughn.

This is a story about second chances. Sarah and Calvin were high school sweethearts and were madly in love. Calvin dealt with a lot when he was 18. His mom died when she had given birth to his baby sister, Jordan. A month later, his father committed suicide. Calv

Return To Beloved Summer Lake

I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book, The Best Is Yet To Come by Bella Andre.

I fell in love with Bella Andre's work with her first book in the Sullivan series, The Look Of Love, and that love has grown with each book of hers I've read. I've read other books she has written, besides the Sullivans and loved every one because they are so magnificently written. This book is one of the best by the author and why she is one of my favorite authors. This book was so good from start to end that I ended up going to bed extremely late….I couldn’t put it down. I’ll admit I love romance books with gorgeous males who are so respectful of women and treat women the way they should be. Yes, I live in a fantasy world and that is why I love to read and why Bella Andrea is a perfect author for me.

The Best Is Yet To Come is a spin-off of Bella Andre's popular Sullivan series. I love the idea of getting to spend more time at Summer Lake and especially seeing the residents get their own stories. I love a reunion love story. Honestly it is one of my favorite troupes. Calvin and Sarah have a bit more of a struggle with their reunion story thanks to their past, but I still enjoyed watching the work through their issues to find one another again.

I absolutely loved that pretty much when Calvin a
