The only modern thing about this terribly dull book are a few tired chairs, including one lone lucite chair, that look like they're in various phases of staged ambush by their floral cousins.

Not really what I was looking for. When I think of modern country this book is not it. I think more neutral colors/patterns and minimalist design. I can't stand clutter/stuff. I did like pages 62, 74, 77 and the dogs on 26.

I like comfortable and I like pared down, and so I thought I would enjoy poring through the photos in this coffee table book and find some inspiration on how to integrate the disparate styles of traditional and sleek. Nope. I like collections, but the knick knacks featured looked like clutter to me. I thought the displays of personal treasures in this book kitschy.
