Considering this is a manga this took me forever to read, it was painful lol I mean it was okay... I still like the characters... but it was nothing new and it was all about her and her brother and meh... not for me, I think I'm done with the series now
Why am I even...seriously...argh...even I want to smack Hatsumi in the face at this point. I'm not saying she deserved it, but kneeling and begging HIS forgiveness....? ARGH.
I just don't even know what to say anymore.
The author has absolutely no understanding of the BDSM relationship, so if that's what we're trying to go for here (which is what it seems, in a rather half-assed sort of way) they need some serious education on what it isn't.
It's not abuse. It's not acting in an abusive manner. It's not disrespectful of your partner. It's not forcing someone to be with you. It's not...ok, it's just NOT anything in these books. Period.
At this point I'm only reading it because I want to see where it goes...like watching a wreck happen...
*Still wrong that Ryoki hit her and tried to tell himself that it was his fault, but I think he may have learned from it now that it was wrong. Or at least I hope he has LOL
There was a BIG step in their relationship in this book! Hatsumi finally admitted out loud to Ryoki and his mom that she was his girlfriend. I am SO GLAD that the one rich girl who was supposed to be a replacement for Ryoki was completely denied and didn't take up much of the book as I always hate characters like her. I hope and think they are on the right path to a good relationship!!! Yay! Although, I wish we got more normal interactions with them when Hatsumi isn't thinking about other guys (even if it's not in a relationship way).
I have a feeling Shinogu may unintentionally cause more roadblocks in Hatsumi and Ryoki's relationship in the future. I'm not sure how I feel about that.............0-0
Anywayssssss, I LOVED the flashback to when Hatsumi first moved into the apartment complex. It's so interesting to see our characters as little kids. It said it was TBC, so I'm hoping that we get more flashbacks in the next volume :)
Even though, I was not moving on Ryoki’s part when he’s slapping Hatsumi on previous volume, but when Ryoki defended Hatsumi from his mother, that’s some king shit. Also, the maid; Mariko.. shes in love with Ryoki’s father?! What in the world drama is this???!! Damn Mariko go get that bag!! Plus she’s more nicer that Mrs.Tachibana. So it’s a win- win situation I guess. But the age gap thou..
That stuck up rich heiresses; Ruri is damn ugly to me with her attitude. For people who is smart (she got second place on country’s mock exam) they do seems more dumber than people who are not that smart to begin with. Lol.
Plus, we also got to see some flashback on why Ryoki pushes Hatsumi down the stairs when she was a kid. The main reason is jealous. Homeboy is possessive when he was still a feautus so that’s why.
Ryoki is your standard, basic abusive jackass - physically and emotionally abusive but for some reason Hatsumi just looooooooves him so much. Ugh... and this is why real life women think they can change abusive assholes.
I really love Shinogu a lot, and despite the fact that he and Hatsumi are "brother and sister", I really wish they'd get together. But this is your classic case of "Hatsumi and Shinogu make sense... Hatsumi and Ryoki don't, so let's make sure the pairing that makes zero sense ends up together" because that's how it ALWAYS goes in literature... and this apparently goes across borders as it happened in Harry Potter and happens A LOT in manga. I don't understand this concept!!
Ryoki was really pissing me off in this volume, more so than ever. UGH! Thank the gods there was lots of sweet sweet Shinogu to make me feel less like Hulk Smashing everything to pieces.
Wow. Just wow. Hatsumi gets slapped and she blames herself?! She thinks she deserves it?! Tbh, she can get hurt all she wants now, if she's going to be that stupid. All young girls - just read this for entertainment. This does not depict an acceptable relationship. It is not romantic, and there is no justification for any person treating you like shit.
However, pretty ashamed to say that it's still quite entertaining. I'm just trying to ignore how gross everyone's behaviour is.
Again there is something terrible when it comes to the events in this story. Ryoki is slowly becoming sweeter despite all of his upbringing. Shinogu's continued adoration for Hatsumi, while she is ultimately creepy.
This is probably one of my favorites in the series. It's such a weird manga, I mean, you want to hate the characters...but at the same time, you want them to end up together. Ryoki is evil, but I can't help but pick him as the best character. On to the next. 6.5/10.
It started off really poorly with Ryoki slapping Hatsumi. It got better but I am still sick of this guy having zero consequences for literally being abusive. Being awk in relationships is not a good excuse. Stuff with them as kids is super cute, though.
