A wolf named Kael is captured and trained for the circus. His kind-hearted trainer takes pity on him and returns him to his natural habitat after observing his longing for the wild.
The book is beautifully written. The author employs the use of metaphor and rich descriptions without ever sounding unnatural. The story would probably be best appreciated by children around 8-10 years old. I read this story to my four year old and he enjoyed the illustrations but the story was too long-winded and detailed for his attention span.
