Increíble volumen omnibus con todos los comics de la saga. Han sabido adaptar perfectamente las películas a la viñeta, sin perder en ningún momento la historia.
En cuanto a las ilustraciones, la diferencia entre la saga original y la nueva es clara, pero por ello mismo más interesante de ver y de apreciar diferentes estilos y detalles.

I mean, you know these stories. There's not a lot of extra material here to make it justifiable to read these, unless (like me) you're just one of those people who has to read EVERYthing in the EU. I did realize while I was reading this collection that Yoda's stilted way of speaking works much better when you can hear it than when you have to read it.
It's interesting that they included the adaptation of the "Special Edition" of Episode IV, complete with Greedo shooting first and Han walking on Jabba's tail, especially when the adaptations for V and VI were the original comic publications. Plus, the original publication of Episode VI was in Volume 4 of A Long Time Ago..., which is the omnibus that immediately precedes this one. Lots of questionable choices all around, here.

Quem é que é fã de Star Wars levante a mão!!! (Eu já com a mão no ar e o braço esticado ao máximo…)
Quando soube da existência deste livro de BD fiquei super ansiosa para o ter na minha estante e, quando chegou, passei um bom bocado a admirar as imagens. É engraçado ver as diferenças entre a arte dos diferentes episódios. A minha arte favorita foi a do III episódio porque é tão realista como o filme.
Não sei se existe alguém que não tenha ouvido falar desta saga, mas vou fazer à mesma um breve resumo e dar umas indicações para quem não leu ou viu os filmes.
Então, resumidamente e sem spoilers, a base da história de Star Wars passa-se no espaço onde as pessoas conseguem fazer viagens interplanetárias e intergalácticas. Assim, sabemos que existe uma tecnologia muito avançada, sendo que existem robôs que acabam por possuir personalidades próprias bem como formas de substituir partes do corpo humano por peças mecânicas, e criaturas estranhas das mais variadas espécies e formas. Neste mundo existe um governo que define as leis para todos os planetas (ou para aqueles que fazem parte da sua jurisdição), bem como uma Federação do Comércio, etc. Além disso temos os protetores da paz no universo, a ordem Jedi, e os seus equivalentes maldosos, os Sith. Estes dois grupos possuem a capacidade de usar algo inacessível para o resto da população, a força. Esta força é algo com capacidades únicas como agarrar coisas à distância e até prever o futuro.
É nesta parte que tenho de fazer um aparte. Para quem não sabe, a saga completa é constituída por 6 episódios, ou seja, 6 filmes, que foram lançados na seguinte ordem: IV, V, VI, I, II e III. Como já perceberam os 3 últimos episódios foram lançados primeiro que os 3 primeiros. Essa é uma das formas para ver os filmes ou ler os livros, é a Ordem da Publicação.
Outra forma é ler ou ver por Ordem Cronológica, ou seja, do episódio I ao VI. Mas ambas as formas apresentam sérios problemas em termos de spoilers para quem nunca viu ou leu. Então foram criadas outras duas formas de ver ou ler. Uma delas diz-nos para seguir a seguinte ordem: IV, V, I, II, III e VI. Esta é a que eu recomendo porque mantém todo o mistério necessário e os 3 primeiros episódios funcionam como um flashback. A outra forma é praticamente igual mas diz-nos para ignorar o episódio I. Claro que eu não recomendo nada esta forma, por mais que os fãs da saga (incluindo eu) não achem que este episódio vem acrescentar muita coisa à história. Mas eu até gostei desse episódio, tal como todos os outros, por isso não o excluiria por nada deste mundo.
Como é que vocês viram ou leram esta saga? Eu segui a Ordem Cronológica, coisa de que me arrependo porque fui spoilada do maior mistério de toda a saga… Mas não deixei de adorar cada pedacinho da história.
Quem viu os filmes já sabe à partida o que esperar desta BD, mas para quem ainda não viu preparem-se para ser surpreendidos. É absolutamente fantástica e obviamente está mais que recomendada. Pessoalmente adoro este mundo e esta história e não me canso de o visitar vezes e vezes sem conta. A sério, LEIAM! (Ou quanto muito vejam os filmes… :-P)

Star wars omnibus. This omnibus is my very favorite one, and not just because it hits all 6 episodes. The art style is varied, so you get a different art style depending on which episode your reading. The story is great and almost spot on with the movies, the only downside being that some important scenes were left out. It has about 600 pages, so if you're a slow reader it'll take a while. In the back of the book you get not a glossary, but a timeline for the republic and empire symbols/logos. A very neat detail, even though you can't spot any of the logos in the actual book itself (I think, I haven't seen any myself). The battles are gear in detail, and so is the rest of the environment. The characters have wondrous dialogue, and its almost on spot with the movies. With the release of episode 7 in December, i'm expecting an omnibus about the 7th movie. The plot is very close to the actual movies themselves, with a bit more twists and turns along the way. One thing that really bothered me (which call me a nit picker if you must) is that didn't shoot first. I know its small, but it bugs me. Another thing worth noting is that there's a typo on page 187. Instead of "It wont be long" the book says "I wont be long". Overall, a great book that follows the movies spectacularly. Overall I would give it a 8/10 because of the mistakes. There's more than I listed, but those are the ones that bugged me the most.

Quando comecei este livro já tinha visto os dois primeiros episódios da saga StarWars em filme. Gostei da BD mas quero ver os outros filmes porque acho que são mais completos e não é a mesma coisa sem os efeitos sonoros.

The Revenge of the Sith comic was the highlight of this. I don't know the name of who does the art in it, but they're hands-down my favorite Star Wars comic artist ever. Pretty sure it's the same person who did the KOTOR series with Zayne, Griff, and Jarael. Whoever it is needs an award because their art is so detailed and beautiful.

I expected more from this book. I always thought I'd get to know more about this universe that I love so much, but this book leaves out certain details that I loved from the movies - the exact opposite of what I thought would happen.

The following omnibus contains all the 6 Star Wars movies collected from various Marvel and Dark Horse editions in episodic order. Even in the graphical novel; Jar Jar Binks is annoying, Anakin Skywalker is wooden, Slave girl Princess Leia is hot and Han Solo is cool.
Presenting a grand space opera in a comic book format is always a tough ask. But the above graphic novel is well written, drawn and created. I felt quite emotional when reading certain sections.
If you are Star Wars fan like me the above book is highly recommended. It will be a different outlook on your favorite movie series. Plus you can avoid all unnecessary sections of the prequels simply by flipping the page. However it is NOT a proper substitute to the movies. I always preach saying comic books before the movies but the above is an exception to my rule!

This was a gift for my son's 5th birthday from a friend of mine. We worked our way through all 600 pages in a few months. I always handle my books gingerly, and have always wondered exactly how much abuse one of these books could take before falling apart. The answer is quite a bit! My son is pretty rough on his books. His copy is dog eared, creased, and loved, and not a single page is loose. He'd sleep with it and flip through the pages by nightlight. I love how Star Wars has captured his heart and his mind, much like it did for me at such a young age. Star Wars lives!
Now as for the stories themselves, well, what can I say? I am a Star Wars nut and so is my son. He was genetically pre-dispositioned to be one. The stories are great and read just swell in the sequential narrative graphic panel artform (that's comic books to you layman/laywoman out there). We had a blast reading these. I dislike the mid-90s computer recoloring of the '80s adaptations, but my son seemed to enjoy this, so so be it. A great birthday present for my son, Rick!
There is no better reading value on the planet than the Dark Horse Omnibus format. Nice paper, sewn binding, the comics are all in full color, with page counts ranging between 400-600 pages...all for $24.99 MSRP.

This is Dark Horses's collection of the prequel and original Star Wars trilogies graphic adaptations. I've reviewed each of them separately, so I won't go into detail about the individual volumes here. This collection is great, something any even casual Star Wars fan should enjoy. The prequel volumes stand out here to me, they seem like the better way to experience that particularly poor trilogy. The original trilogy volumes are a mixed bag and seem quite abridged in some respects (with the exception of Empire Strikes Back, which at 6 issues is rather long for my tastes). All in all though, it's a terrific collection. Very highly recommended.

Skips a lot of movies depth so may not make sense if never watched
If you have watched the movies, it is a good summary and you can fill in the blanks yourself. A bit wordy for episodes 4 - 6 and do to really not a feel for epic battles in episode 1 - 3 as moves along very fast. Overall a good nostalgic read and makes you want to watch movies again.

Pretty much what you'd expect
The prequels are made slightly better by some edits that make extension less creepy (and a much shorter pod race). A New Hope is made worse by being based on the altered special edition (Han doesn't shoot first here). If what you're looking for is episodes I-VI in comic form, this is the omnibus you seek.

Incredible Collection.
I am a huge star wars fan, these comics are the original from marvel and what I grew up with. So many memories, incomparable storytelling and one of the best comic adaptations ever. Truly Star Wars I-VI is truly the greatest cinematic story ever told and this collection proves it. MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!!!!!

Through the whole book I couldn't stop making the lightsabers and weapons sound.
The artwork is beautiful, with the colours and the amazing resemblance to the movies. It was also an excellent help to understand the story even better, even having seen the films thousands of times.

Adaptaciones a cómic de los 6 primeros episodios de Star Wars, que siendo honestos fueron los que verdaderamente merecieron la pena (nunca me gustaron los episodios 7, 8 y 9). Lectura para completistas y fanáticos del Universo Star Wars.

Gostei mais das adaptações da trilogia original que da prequels, mas está uma obra interessante para fãs . De qualquer forma o cinema traz esta obra de forma diferente e em toda a sua glória.

Este volumen de 600 páginas recoge los comics basados en las seis películas de Star Wars que se han hecho hasta ahora (quizás ya sabéis que a partir de 2015 se estrenarán al menos tres películas más para continuar la historia desde donde la dejó “El retorno del jedi” -1983-). Alguien puede pensar que recrear estas historias en cómic no tiene mucho sentido porque ya las hemos visto en el cine, pero estamos hablando de dos lenguajes muy distintos, el cinematográfico y el puramente gráfico, ambos con sus virtudes y sus limitaciones por lo que en realidad películas y cómics se convierten en aproximaciones complementarias a lo que para mí es sin duda la gran saga mitológica del siglo XX. Y no sólo por las películas rodadas hasta el momento sino por el inmenso conjunto de historias coherentes entre sí que se han creado a su alrededor y que los expertos en Star Wars denominan “Universo Expandido”. Estas historias, que se remontan miles de años hacia atrás o hacia delante respecto de las seis películas, han encontrado cobijo en la literatura, pero sobre todo y muy especialmente en el mundo del cómic.
No hay ni que decir que este libro está pensado sobre todo para los fans de Star Wars, lo que pasa es que resulta muy fácil engancharse a esta saga, y en cuanto te descuidas ¡Zas! ya eres uno de ellos. Si llegáis a hojearlo, veréis que hay dos estilos de dibujo muy diferenciados, el de las tres primeras películas y el de las tres últimas. Esto es debido a que los dos bloques han sido dibujados por artistas distintos en momentos también alejados. A mí particularmente me gusta más el estilo de los episodios I, II y III.
Si no conocéis los cómics del “Universo Expandido” de Star Wars, este volumen os ofrece una muy buena introducción porque puede servir de vínculo entre las películas digamos más canónicas y el resto de los cómics. En caso de que lleguéis a aficionaros os quedan miles de páginas de lectura por delante.

The prequels were quite amazing with a few peeves:
- There was a typo on page 187
- They were a little fast paced, but not too bad
- AOTC didn't have its beginning (or even a summation of it, like for ROTJ)
- I like how things were added from the books. It gave quite a bit of extra emotion that isn't even seen in the movies
- ROTS was inconsistent with the inking and some wording
The originals made this from a 4.5 rating to a 3/3.5 rating:
-I do like how, in all, things from the books were added like with the prequels
- ANH was TOO fast paced.
- The colouring of ANH was beyond phenomenal
- ESB was very out of sync. The words, phrasing, and inking didn't always match up. There was too much of a story; the writer didn't allow the art to tell a lot of it.
- Luke and Leia almost kissing "off-screen" was disturbing. That was not in the book.
- "Meanwhile, not far away, at least in a galaxy where light-years are spanned simply as kilometers..." - page 476. See what I mean about awkward? UGH it took away from the story. My least favourite of them all.
- ROTJ was written by the same person who did the ESB portion. There was still too much story; he didn't let the comic tell the story. But it was a little faster-paced and not as bad as ESB.

First things first...I love the original Marvel version of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. I had that over-sized Marvel super special version of the original Star Wars comic adaptation. I miss that original version not being included as part of this omnibus collection.
The updated, "special edition" A New Hope is actually pretty groovy. The artwork is fantastic.
Another annoyance: The Phantom Menace being printed a bit too small. The Phantom Menace has a heavy black border making the text quite small.
I highly recommend this collection because it's a great value. Six adaptations with great artwork for a decent price. Empire and ROTJ retain the old-school Marvel artwork. Nice.

A real mixed bag.
Some of the comics are a lot of fun to read, are drawn well, and are faithful adaptions of the movies.
However a LOT is left out, iconic scenes that have absolutely no reason not being in the adaptions.
Return of the Jedi, and Revenge of the Sith are probably the weakest books each.
A New Hope, and Phantom Menace being tolerable, with Clone Wars, and Empire being the most fun and fleshed out.

I'd give this omnibus a 4.5, simply because A New Hope feels just too rushed, and might be a bit difficult to follow if you haven't seen the movie and are familiar with the story. Other than that, it's a great book for any Star Wars fan. Definitely have to highlight episodes 1-3, cause the art was really awesome. Episodes 4-6 have a bit more dated artwork, but still pretty good. A must have for any fan of Star Wars, specially if, like myself, you love comics.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed this, and I was raised on Star Wars, but this just makes the first three episodes pale even more in comparison to the last three. Anakin's dialogue in episodes 2 and 3 sound just as cheesy and ridiculous on paper as they do in the films, but I'm still a Star Wars nerdette. :)

The illustrations in this are phenomenal. At times, the movies could get distracting - I'd be confused as to what was actually going on - but having this cleared up any fuzzy spots for me. It's so nice to have all six episodes in one bundle, too. I'd say this is an item any Star Wars connoisseur like myself needs in their arsenal.

Não sou uma fã fanática, mas aprecio muito este mundo. E neste livro adorei ate à exaustão a arte gráfica dele. O traço dos desenhos é fabulosa e suga-nos para dentro das paginas. E é uma excelente forma de conhecer a historia. Aconselho e muito xD

I love the films with every fibre of my being. These comic adaptations of them are well done, but in the end they're just watered down versions of the stories, with some interesting inclusions of deleted scenes that weren't included in the final cut of the films.
