While this book was interesting, it wasn't what I expected. Instead of being a guide to New Jersey amusement parks, it is more of a historical point-by-point. Each amusement park is given a detailed historical rundown, somewhat dryly, with a few black-and-white pictures scattered about. There is some contemporary guidance for visiting the parks today, but the real meat of this book is as a history lesson.
