Don’s preaching ministry spans 35 years in only two different cities, Shawnee, Oklahoma and Ardmore, Oklahoma.

Don worked for 7 years helping produce a television program Christian magazine which received national recognition in the magazine, Christianity Today.

Don has written several books, including: 2 Peter 3: The Late Great Kingdom, reprinted now under the title of the Elements Shall Melt with Fervent Heat; Who is This Babylon? Don’s book, Who is this Babylon?, A Study of Revelation, has received critical acclaim. He is currently at work on several other manuscripts including books on the(supposed) rebuilding of the Jerusalem temple, the Transfiguration, the parables of Jesus, the Olivet Discourse, the significance of circumcision in New Testament eschatology, the Song of Moses and eschatology, and others.

Don's 2010 book, We Shall Meet Him In The Air: The Wedding of the King of kings, is the very first, and only, full length commentary on 1 Thessalonians 4 from the preterist (fulfilled) perspective.

Preston’s writings have appeared in almost every major religious periodical of the churches of Christ.

Mr. Preston is an experienced debater, and has participated in several formal public debates as well as radio debates. his opponents include some of the leading evangelical leaders of the day, including:

"Israel" is an important phenomenon for many believers today, and they see what is happening in the Middle East and Israel's restoration in 1948 as essential aspects of the Christian faith and the end times. But what if this is a completely unbiblical view to hold? Don K. Preston shows in a biblical manner that Israels restoration has nothing to do with the end times or the Bible, and that the Jews are no longer God's chosen people. He goes, among other things into the fact that most Jews today are actually atheists and agnostics and that God's requirement for being called God's people according to the Bible is obedience to God. This is also completely contrary to Israel's restoration as a sign that they still should be God's chosen people.

Another thing he dives into in this booklet is how today's Jews have no bloodline with the Jews who descended from Abraham, and that the Judaism that is practiced today is far from being comparable to that of Jesus' time. He points out a rabbi that after 70 AD created his own form of Judaism which has since spread up to our time. This is just a bit of what you will encounter in this short reading about Israel. It presents Biblical evidence that you rarely get presented in today's dispensationalist Christianity.

This little book was an outstanding, concise, and very-powerful refutation of dispensationalist heresy that is so prevalent in American Christianity today. I recommend this book to anyone interested in how or why any religious argument for American support for Israel exists, and how it is exactly contrary to scripture. Dr. Preston is very frank in his presentation, which destroys any hope of a perverse, anti-Christian revival by false prophets of Old Covenant theology, which was destroyed as prophecied with the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D.

There is no biblical counterargument to the contrary; in fact, religious support for Israel in the United States today is based on a perversion of scripture, as it "flips it on its head".
