People noted wry homespun commentary of American humorist William Penn Adair Rogers, known as Will, on society and politics.

This Cherokee cowboy, comedian, vaudeville performer, and actor fathered Will Rogers Jr., the congressman and veteran of World War II.

A mother bore Rogers, known as favorite son of Oklahoma, into a prominent family. This world-famous figure traveled around the world three times, made 50 silent films and 21 "talkie" movies, and wrote more than four thousand nationally-syndicated newspaper columns.

The American people adored Rogers, the top-paid movie star in Hollywood at the time before the mid-1930s. Rogers died with aviator Wiley Post, whose small airplane crashed near Barrow, Alaska territory.

I always thought I likes Will Rodgers, but I knew nothing about him really. Truthfully I still nothing about him other than his public thought and speech. This book arranged A-Z of Will Rodgers thoughts on just about everything was tough - perhaps funny on and off, by the time I got to 'O' I was Over the book and his thoughts. Maybe it is in part the difference of era but he seemed much to negative and not for moving on in life, but keep thins as HE liked them.

OK as a bathroom book to read in bits but not a cover to cover read for me.

I will say I might look more into his life and might then find better understanding of his words, but for not just over it.

Will Rogers got to be the funniest person ever. My favorite quote from him is “A good stiff sales tax on hamburgers today would have paid our national debt”.

Will Rogers speaks of on America. American politics has not changed for the better since his tragic death in Alaska.
