For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes tham at her. Not until Patch came along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgement.

Sorry, BB, but OH SHIT NO.

The only good thing about this book is that that placeholder cover confirmed one of my assertions: baseball caps are not hot. IN THE LEAST. EVER.

Edit: okay, so I have a sick sense of curiosity, but I Googled this and came up with some more sketches. I have to say, the artist got Patch and Nora down. He looks like an asshole and she looks like an airhead. Well done!

This is the old cover that I'm talking about in my review, just so I don't sound like a raving lunatic:

This has got to be the creepiest and most awkward cover I've ever seen.

What is he even doing? I mean, just look at the pose! It looks like he's either going to:
A. Go play some weird version of angel football
B. Just jumped through Nora's window and is about go kill her (out of love, of course)
C. Is extremely constipated and in dire need to take a shit

I'm going to say a mix of B and C because

And the madness continues!!!

Is this the new fad in the YA world? Every series must have a graphic novel. Please, spare us the misery!
EDIT 1/1/13: I finally got the time to get this book again to take some pictures of it! Now I got proof about what I was talking about! Sorry for the bad quality of some pictures.

Actual rating: 1.5/5 rating

This graphic novel is SHITTY.
The characters in this book look nothing like their descriptions.

Enough with the fucking graphic novelisation of shitty Young Adult books, please. Dear God!
I love the Hush Hush Novel but this! This is just unacceptable. The illustrations are nothing like them and IT IS NOT THEM. This is not patch and nora. The cover is a buff man maybe in his 30's give or take. Patch is a teenager-ish in looks and is lean and taut not beefy. Just right in physique. So I am very disappointed. No offense to the illustrator but This Sucks :I

While I do like Hush, Hush, I have to say NO FREAKING WAY to the graphic novel.

They ruin everything. -_-

I Have One Thing To Say About This Book!

Okay, here are the give aways to my 'What The Hell?!':
1. Nora looks like a [beep]when wearing the clothes. No offense but she does.
2. When the attacker is supposed to have grabbed her shoulder he grabbed her wrist instead.
3. The wardrobe: Nuh uh! The skirt she wore was practically underwear! And she rips on Marcie about her clothes. And the shirt she was wearing wouldn't be even allowed to probab;y worn at school.
4. Their teeth look hideou

I picked this graphic novel up knowing it was bad. But I didn’t expect it to be THIS bad.

First, why is Nora blonde and practically wearing 0 clothes (even at school)

Patch looks like a pedophile.

Vee is supposed to be a little thick with long hair and TALL. But in this novel she’s huge with short hair.

It’s like the illustrator didn’t even read the book before drawing the characters.

And this novel covered like maybe the first 4 chapters? Hardly enough to enjoy.

The only thing I really enjoyed wa

I don't really like to read graphic novel versions of books, because a) I already know the story so it isn't really exciting for me, and b) I like the version of the stories in my head. But I decided to read the graphic novel version of Hush, Hush because I was curious and, well, for Patch.

The main reason I wanted to read it? I wanted to see some of those steamy scenes between Nora and Patch. For example, I was looking forward to that awesome kitchen scene (all you fans know exactly what scene I

Ummmm....where is the rest of the book? That is the first thing I want to know. This is list priced at $19.95 and it only covers the first 5 chapters of the book?!

So, there really isn't much to say about the summary of this. We meet the characters, Nora, Patch and Vee. Patch teases Nora, Nora doesn't like Patch and feels stalked by him. Mystery man breaks through Vee's windshield to get at Nora. That's it! Nothing more. Seriously. I feel this was a half inch thick teaser.

The good-plot line stu

I really don't know why I decided to torture myself. Really don't. I'm just going to say that reading this in graphic novel form really highlights all of the sexism and disgusting behavior that permeated the actual book. You get to see the coach in all of his disturbing, student-traumatizing glory. Patch acting like the stalker-douchebag that he truly is, all the while wearing baseball caps (I don't remember him wearing a hat in every scene in the book, but that's just me). And Nora truly looks ...more

Hrm. Well th sketches are...odd.

It actually makes the characters even more boring to me when I had figured the oposite. I thought Nora had dark hair! Lmao.

Also is anyone else really curious exactly how fat Vee is going to be? The book makes it a constant thing but they're always euphemizing it, so now I confess myself interested even though the book should have just done the physical description and left it at that, I don't see why "Vee is chubby" has to be a constant point of characterization u
I try not to base my reviews on other works, but since this is a spin-off of the series I will indeed compare them.

1. The quality of this book is physically crap. I mean- the pages are basically construction paper.
2. The cover image looks nothing like the illustrated Patch contained in the graphic novel.
3. Characters appearances don’t match those of the characters descriptions in the novels
4. Why is Nora dressed like a harlot?
5. Continuity errors from frame to frame
6. Length: this hardly co

This graphic novel took me two days to read. TWO! And it's only an hour read, at the most for me.

I'm going to talk about the art of the book because I already reviewed the book, and lets face it: I only bought it for the art.

We got a sneak peek of the art throughout last year and were even given the whole prologue months before the novel hits shelves. I had hope that the artist(s) would be able to bring characters I like to life.

I gave this graphic novel 1 star.

I'm going to say something positiv

I got this book earlier than I was suppose to.

Was I happy?

Am I happy after reading this?
Not exactly.

I hate the drawings of Vee. She looks, no offense, like a fat guy with some girl expressions and "mom-jeans". I have harsher thoughts but I'm not in the mood for bad-mouthed comments.

The first drawing of Patch has him looking like he has no "junk". I mean, it was a sexy picture but then you look down and can't help but ask, "where is the buldge?" I'm not crazy about the drawings of Patch, but

Hush, Hush is one of those series that I really enjoyed and so I decided to pick up this graphic novel. I have a couple problems with this graphic novel mostly about Patch and Nora. I didn't really imagine Patch or Nora looking like they were depicted in the graphic novel. Nora is supposed to be kind a smart and conservative girl but in this graphic novel she dressed very inappropriate and slutty. I mean Nora looked like she was wearing a half shirt. It's kind of hypocritical that Nora and Vee w ...more

This graphic novel is a fun little refresher of the first novel.

In all honesty, I wasn't a huge fan of the artwork. Nora, in my humble opinion, is a wee bit too "smexy" in a not-so-"smexy" kinda way (i.e. hipbones jutting out and cold rooms exposed by thin t-shirts *yuck*). And poor Vee was not at all how I pictured her. The panels at times have an awkward flow to them. And unless you've read the novel, the story seems choppy and lacking, not to mention, confusing.

The extra story was a quick,

NOT as great as how i thought it would be....EVERY FREAKIN GIRL IN HERE IS MADE TO LOOK LIKE A SLUT!? WHY?! Nora is SUPPOSED TO BE CONSERVATIVE AND SMART! D:< and Vee looks like a guy....not cool...the stories pretty much the same. Overall, i like the book SO much more...

I am a big fan of the Hush Hush Series by Becca Fitzpatrick. When Patrick from Sea Lion Books offered me a chance to review this before it comes out in March, so I decided to jump at the chance and review it. This is the first Graphic Novel I have read so this is a new experience for me. First I must say I actually really liked reading this as a graphic novel, it was neat having pictures to go along with the storyline. Second I really like how each character is depicted. As a big fan of comics and graphic novels I'm ashamed I waited so long for this book! First it kept getting pushed back. Month after month after month! When if finally did become available, you could never find it at any book store. So I turned to ordering, which took after seeing it and reading it I'd like my money back.

First off the graphic portion was bad. Patch looked like a boy who was just hitting puberty in most of the panels. Vee was suppose to be more curvier and have lon

Reading the story through the graphic novel reconnected me with the characters I grew attached to while reading the series. While the graphics are beautifully done, I'll admit that most of the characters didn't look like I imagine them, but it wasn't hard to see who was who even if they wouldn't have been named.

Someone who has not read the series would be able to follow the story and love it. Keeping in mind that they can't put everything from the book into this graphic novel, I think they did a

This is wrong. This is ALL wrong.

The only ok thing, and the only reason why I gave it a star, is the story at the end.

This I didn't like:
•Nora was supposed to be a brunette & Vee was supposed to be blonde. They switched that here.
•Nora looks like a total bitch
•The beginning was so slow
•I really didn't like the sketches. They were odd & just wrong.
Seriously, this was just SO WRONG! I've read amazing graphic novels, I've read good adaptations, I love Hush Hush, I had high hopes for this
