This fifth installment in the Civil War Brides series was one of the most enjoyable for me. My curiosity was roused almost from the instant that Victoria ended up in the past and was mistaken by Quincy Butler as a rebel spy. That part didn't last long before he was blown over by the truth that the woman he stumbled upon was from the future.

Victoria Carrington was a bit at loose ends when her best friend and roommate, Hannah, had disappeared and was only the latest in a long line of disappearance

Tracey Jane Jackson does a good job of making the story come to life in the pages of the book, so much that you feel like you are there. I like that she keeps the characters from the other stories and just keeps adding to their stories but at the same time is introducing new stories and new characters.

More 4.5/5. Technically stand-alone, but best if read in order. Fairly well edited.

Quincy Butler is busy fighting for the Union. He has no idea what has been going on back home - the intrigues, the weddings, the arrival of new faces, and most especially that some of those faces were not born in his century. He is just busy trying to do his part to win the war and stay alive. To that end, we find him hiding in a grove of trees during a battle, trying not to get shot. He is surprised to find he is

5 stars for Quincy & Victoria ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Another great Civil War Brides book from Piper Davenport! I have been really looking forward to reading Quincy and Victoria's story and the wait was well worth it! Victoria is a true Southern Belle living in Chicago in the year 2018 wondering where her friend and roommate Hannah has disappeared to without a trace. Quincy is fighting on the battlefield in Virginia as part of the Union Army in 1864 when a strange woman suddenly appears dressed in odd clothing

This book won’t disappoint
I really loved the male character, Quincy, in this book. Well, they do say that the way to a woman’s heart is a sense of humour! Quinn is also an alpha male who will do anything to protect the woman he’s fallen in love with, much to her annoyance! Victoria is from 2018 and was somehow sent back to the Civil War where woman were ladies who let the men look after them. She’s not used to that and has serious trust issues. Why is she in the past and is she in danger? You’ll

This was the fifth book in the civil was brides series and is probably tied with the first one as my favorite. Victoria, who was Hannah’s roommate, is left wondering what happen to her best friend and if she will be next. She was then transported directly on the battlefield and found by Quincy. But with her accent Quincy is convinced she’s a rebel spy, but was shot before he could do anything about it. Will Victoria be able to save Quincy? Will Quincy take her as his rebel bride?

Another great installment in the Civil War Brides series! Victoria is a hilarious women who gives Quincy a run for his money. They are literally thrown together and sparks fly for the rest of the book. Quincy must get behind Victorias defensives to prove his love! Again we get to meet an awesome horse and are reunited with characters from the rest of the series. Add in some suspense and the backdrop of the Civil War and you have a 5 star read! Cant wait for the next book in the series!!

I love Victoria! She is strong, confident and not about to take grief from anyone! Quincy is her perfect soulmate. I love these two together. Their story kept me interested and wanting more. Their love is feisty and sweet. But that doesn’t mean trouble won’t touch them. I laughed out loud when Victoria and Millicent had a little run in! This whole series is wonderful!

Another fun read! I have enjoyed this series and this installment didn't let me down. I liked Quinn and Victoria and their sweet romance. Their fights did get on my nerves, but there was something about these two together that really resonated with me. The previous couples played fairly large roles here, which is fun. Looking forward to book 6!

Love this book the fifth book in this amazing series. I have always loved time travel stories, just had got away from them for awhile. I'm thankful this multi talented has renewed my interest in them. I highly recommend this series and all others written by the author. I'm looking forward to the next book that is written by her.

This is the fifth installment of the Civil War Brides series. This is Victoria and Quincy's story. This series better and better with each book. I'm excited to read what's next. Give this series a chance. You won't be disappointed.

In this fifth book of Civil War Brides series, we get to go on a journey with Quincy (Gus) and Victoria (Rebel). Hilarity and some misunderstandings happen along the way. We also catch up with past couples. It was so fun reading this book.

Number 5 of the Civil War Brides Series:

Like the first four, this book contains time travel, history, mystery, romance and some modern humor. I loved the first book in the series, I think this is my second favorite, although they are all great reads. Victoria is one of many before her who has been thrown into the middle of the civil war battle from the modern day Chicago where she was working on her photography and dodging the FBI who are trying to find out where these people keep disappearing

I am seriously in love with Quinn and Victoria!! I'll be honest and starting this book it didn't grab me immediately like the previous ones, but when it did boy did it hook me. I'm not sure why it didn't grab me from the beginning because looking back after I finished it, it honestly was awesome!! Maybe because I wasn't as familiar with Victoria as I was with the previous heroines. Neither here nor there, I ended up loving Victoria and Quinn's story so much. Quinn is Christopher's brother and on ...more

Now what is any Union soldier supposed to think when he comes upon a beautiful woman with a very strong Southern accent? What, of course, she's a Rebel spy. Nothing could be further from the truth -- her roommate, Hannah, has disappeared, and in trying to find her, Victoria had now found herself transported back in time and caught in the crossfires of the Civil War battles. It's an intense love story that develops within the framework of war, the tension of trying to reconcile the differences be ...more

I love this series! Each book is stand alone but fits within the series. The stories are funny and not smutty. I love them because I can share them with my husband who will not read smut at all. He has read the Cauld Ane Series and loves them as much as I do. He doesn't have to read the Civil War Brides because I've read them all to him! Love love love Tracey Jane Jackson's books!!!The Rebel Bride

Again, I have to say I’m loving this entire series. I love the strong women with a hint of vulnerability who can stand up to the protective and loving men who love them as often as necessary. Men not used to strong women but who love them enough to do whatever it takes to make them happy while protecting them. These books are full of heart. They are romance, suspense, action with the wonderful blend of past and future. Highly recommend and thankful to have received a free copy in exchange for my ...more

I loved Book 5: The Rebel Bride. I think the fact that Quinn calls her "Rebel" is rather endearing! The story line is quite satisfying, as is the dialogue.

My only issue is that I'm noticing a little more foul language. It's not my preference, but it's a wee bit hard to let it roll off.

I really hope that the agent (Ben?) mentioned in the beginning of the book will somehow get transported into the Civil War era in Book 6. I could be wrong, but i am hoping!!!!!!

I love that Victoria showed up back in time directly on a battlefield! I also love the interplay between Victoria and Quincy with him being a northerner and her being southern.

I loved this book. Victoria and Quincy are my second favorite. it's hard to imagine going back in time. I loved the introduction of Rocky
