This book reviews basic movements for each stroke, the tools used in a pool, and provides workout plans, which is perfect for anyone learning to swim more efficiently. The other half of the book tells the reader how amazing exercise is by improving all aspects of your life.
A great book for anyone getting into or, like me, back into swimming. I’ve been swimming everyday for a bit now and have been following this book’s tips and training plan.
It is a really inspiring and useful book. At times I felt that Mr. Whitten wants to make a point again and again that was already made, nevertheless I learnt several good tips from the book that contains excellent workout sessions for every swimmer and many anecdotes. My favorite is an old Masters swimmer who was not only blind but 100 years old and he entered competitions. Amazing. It is clear that Mr. Whitten adores swimming and he manages to channel his love to the reader.
