When Dr. Hank Lawson is fired from his position running a hospital emergency room in New York City, he moves to the Hamptons to become a concierge doctor. He and physician assistant Divya Katdare are constantly on call for their patients, and the latest one is a high school student who has taken a dangerous amphetamine. 4th of July is right around the corner, and between the health festival, the big costume party, and the designer drugs, the HankMed gang is very busy. As fun visit with these great characters, and I enjoyed the emphasis on crime over medicine. However, I really hated season 1 Evan returning.

If you love the show Royal Pains, then this is a great book of you. While reading this, I could easily picture it as if I was watching an episode. Even if you have never seen the show, it still is a good read.

Good book. Not quite in continuity with the TV series. Just think of it as "pre-Paige." Otherwise, very good read.
