A wonderful introduction to rituals and their importance symbolically. A reminder of our insignificance in this universe and the beauty in that.

As I learn more about religion what’s striking is the similarities between them all when it comes to their truest form. In this book on symbolism I noted similarities too. The snake as the ego needing taming just like the snake representing the devil in the bible. It’s all one truth and I love it.

Beautiful, beautiful book, but you should definitely also do your research to find more interpretations of the symbolism of the stories and devās. This book touches the surface beautifully but, personally, I wanted to dig deeper.

Interesting insight into the ideals to which the idols point. A must read for all who want to know what Hindu popular symbols are really about.

Lucidly written and easy to understand and enjoyable.
