This is a good romantic suspense book. What it's not is a good BDSM book. To me, this falls into the rather unfortunate genre of "BDSM books written by vanilla folks, for vanilla folks" (a category coined recently by Kitty Thomas). Obviously I don't know what this author does in the bedroom, but that's the kind of shallow perspective of BDSM that I found here. I was okay with the misinformation. What really bugged me, and I mean really bugged me, was what I saw as kink shaming. In a BDSM book, no less!
The best part of this book was the romance between the H and h. Very sweet and tender. And the suspense was interesting. I just wish I could have read about it without the BDSM prop. I was excited to see another NY house publishing a BDSM book, but I'm not so sure it's worth normalizing spanking if we have to taint authentic BDSM practices to do it.

5 star glitterkink romantic suspense
I believe this is Roni Loren’s first novel – can’t find any others – and it’s an accomplished debut and the first of a series.
It’s BDSM romantic suspense in a similar vein to Cherise Sinclair’s novels but a bit lighter on the sex scenes and a little heavier on the suspense – other than that, I feel comparisons would be wrong as this writer definitely has her own style.
This is the story of Reid and Brynn – they were first together 10 years ago until a traumatic event and a desperate misunderstanding tore them apart. So we have each chapter titled either ‘now’ or ‘then’ as their stories past and present are told.
Reid was brought up with a silver spoon in his mouth, part of an ambitious family and Brynn, by contrast, was dragged up on the wrong side of the tracks by a prostitute for a mother. Reid has a hidden side to his personality – a dark and very carnal side and brings out a deeply submissive nature in Brynn that she didn’t know she had. They’re ideally suited but the situation they find themselves in contrives to separate them and keep them apart for 10 years. Reid also happens to be the lawyer who is hired to defend the man who allegedly murdered Brynn’s mother and she now believes that she hates him.
So we start the story with Brynn and Reid meeting up again after 10 years with Reid trying to get her mother’s convicted murderer acquitted. Brynn’s sister Kelsey has vital evidence and has disappeared, supposedly to a high end (pardon the pun) BDSM retreat and Reid and his buddy Jace can get Brynn in their as a sub to take a look around.
I loved Reid with his shit-eating grin and easy demeanour – he’s totally alpha and perfect for Brynn although she refuses to see it. We also have Jace, Reid’s buddy, who is up in the next novel in the series.
Personally, I can’t wait for Grant’s story – Grant of the Texas twang, way past five o’clock shadow and swagger. I want his story and I want it now!!
Anyway, a highly enjoyable debut novel and a great start to a promising new series.

THEN:
Brynn LeBreck has had quite a hard life. Her mother comes home bruised, battered and drunk from whatever man she's been with, her baby sister having to witness her mother's behavior. She's taken a job as a receptionist in the campaign office of a soon-to-be senator. On her first day she notices all the girls fawning over the soon-to-be senator's son, Reid Jamison and thinks nothing of he. After all, he's got money, is well connected and everything has been handed to him on a silver platter. What the heck would he want with a girl who would never measure up to his social circle? But want her he does. She's not like all the other girls and this intrigues him.
As the summer goes on, Brynn and Reid become closer, go out on dates and even get caught in an almost inappropriate position in his truck in a field. Reid is being pushed by his aunt and uncle (who have been like a mom and dad to him) to get together with a girl from their social circle. Brynn knows that this thing they have going on won't last. Just a summer thing since, well, she's not really the girl for him. Reid also has a secret which his aunt wants him to bury. He's got a penchant for something deviant. He wants to tie Brynn up and dominate her. His aunt thinks that Reid could end up like his father so he thinks there's something wrong with him for wanting to do that.
Brynn chances upon Reid at his friend Jace's house when he said he had family plans. When she sees the girl that Jace has invited over to help "cure" Reid, Brynn realizes that it's time to get out of their relationship. Reid confesses that there is a darker side to him and Brynn wants to help him with it. At first he refuses to allow her to do so but Brynn pushes him until he takes control.
Brynn finds out that Reid has a girlfriend and this breaks her heart. Here she was, falling for him when all along he's kept this secret from her. The way that she finds out completely broke my heart. It was just horrible.
NOW:
Brynn meets Reid at a fundraiser for The Women's Crisis Center of Dallas where she works. He's agreed to be the new lawyer for the center. From the moment Brynn's boss re-introduces them, faint feelings thought long hidden in the past resurface. She's vowed to feel nothing. This man was the lawyer for the guy who murdered her mother.
Reid is still attracted to Brynn and heaven help him, he wants to do things to her that he did 10 years ago. But he can see that she won't go for it. He soon realizes that maybe there's still something there. She wants him too but is hesitant.
The case of the guy who was sent away for Brynn's mother's murder is innocent and Reid feels it. A call from Brynn's sister saying she found something pertaining to the case brings Brynn and Reid together. After a frantic call from her sister, Brynn arrives at her sister's apartment only to find out that she's not there. Reid saves her from almost getting raped. After seeing Brynn off, looks around, trying to find the evidence that could prove his client not guilty.
Brynn soon learns that her sister may have gone to The Ranch, an invitation only club where the elite can fulfill any sexual fantasy. She decides to infiltrate the club, having had a bit of experience with being a sub, thanks to Reid. With the unwanted help of Reid who has connections, she sets out to find out more. Well, it turns out Reid's "friend" is none other than his buddy Jace. Brynn starts to freak out a bit after Jace tells her what will happen once she gets into the club: she must perform in front of an audience with her chosen Master. She asks if he will be there. He says no.
When Brynn arrives at the club, she is prepped and is introduced to the owner of The Ranch. She freaks out and blurts out that she was raped and the owner, Grant, tells her that she can use the safeword ("Texas") should she feel uncomfortable at any time during the weekend. Brynn knows that she must do this. She must find her sister even if it means giving herself over to a total stranger.
Brynn gets the shock of her life when she chooses her Master. Will she able to put aside old feelings and put on a show long enough to convince everyone that she's there to be a sub and nothing more, or will she rekindle a passion for the man that once broke her heart 10 years ago? And will they finally figure out what really broke them apart? A weekend at The Ranch will reveal secrets long buried and a gasp worthy, omg-omg-omg-I-knew-it-but-not-really-cause-I-only-figured-out-half-of-it ending.

OVERALL: Roni Loren has written a sexy, sizzling, holy-carp-I-thought-my-book-might-burst-into-flames-cause-the-sex-is-smoldering-hot, heartbreaking erotic tale. Yeah. You don't see erotic and heartbreaking in the same sentence but Ms. Loren's debut is a wonderful balance of real, hard hitting issues, a bit of suspense and smoking hot, did-I-just-moan-out-loud? smexing. I was left utterly speechless once I put it down. It took me a couple of days to figure out how to go about this review. I figured out half of the answer to the long awaited mystery halfway through the book but a twist out of nowhere definitely had my jaw dropping and getting weird stares from fellow passengers as I neared the end. (Oh, did I mention that I finished this book at the airport? Yeah I did.) Well done, Ms. Loren. I look forward to your next book. The little teaser for Melt Into You had me shaking my fist at the book and wanting more.

I had a very hard time putting this book down, despite my children begging for lunch and dinner that day. (j/k)
While I've read some erotica before, as well as BDSM, I'm not as well-read in this genre as in others. However, I'm familiar with BDSM from a personal stance and I have to disagree with some of the other reviewers who complained that this was "vanilla BDSM." The beauty of the lifestyle is that there are so many levels to it. Not everyone who practices BDSM is going to go hard-core, 24/7. Beyond the kinky bedroom play, these characters identified with dominance or submission. *And* Brynn was relatively new to it. Just sayin'.
I enjoyed how the author flipped between Then and Now, showing us the relationship of the hero and heroine in current day and ten years prior. It was a unique, and effective, way of illustrating how they'd changed and grown.
I'm definitely looking forward to the next book in the series, and have already pre-ordered the in-between novella.

I enjoyed reading this BDSM suspense romance. Reid and Brynn are great together. I just wish they wouldn't keep secrets from each other. This story is told in alternating times (then and now). The reader gets to see where things started and where they end up over a 10+ year time period. However, some parts seemed very rushed in the end for me because it felt like something was missing.

I've thought about this and I don't know how I can review this book with spoilers. I had several issues with this book and I think spoilers are necessary to explain why.
I was reading an authors blog recently and unfortunately, I can't remember whose it was, but what stuck with me was that she said she didn't like reading BDSM by authors who weren't in the lifestyle because she "could see the seams." Like it was sewn together research. I think that sums up a lot of my issue with this book. I'm no expert (at all!) but some of the charachter decisions and reactions seemed so arbitrary and contrary to how I would think the characters would act that it pulled me out of the story.
First, our heroine, Brynn, has apparently no issue after our hero, Reid orders her to strip in the driveway in front of another character, Jace and then proceeds to take control in the bedroom. (This is her first D/s experience) If I were in that situation, even it I was turned on by it, I would be doing some serious soul searching afterwards to try and figure out why I felt the was I did. Brynne experiences exhibitionism, bondage, and domination all in one night and never questions why she enjoyed what happened? She immediately jumps to the conclusion that it's just how she's wired and that it's nice not to have to make decisions in this one area of her life. I had a hard time suspending my disbelief over how quickly she was okay with everything.
Second, while at "The Ranch", an exclusive BDSM retreat Brynne just wanders off (after restraining her Dom) because she needs some time to think. And then she runs into the owner of The Ranch and he apparently isn't alarmed that a sub is wandering around outside "thinking things through". It seemed very strange to me (again, no experience at anyplace like this!) that a sub would be just wandering around outside alone and no one would think it was odd.
Side note: I saw a tweet by Meljean Brook the other day that cracked me up. She said that in Romancelandia, BDSM clubs in America were as common as Dukes in England. : )
Finally (and this is a big spoiler), we find out that Brynne has been raped in the past and then later she is kidnapped by her rapist and whipped in his private dungeon (really?!?) but when she reunites with the Hero, her love and trust for him, erase her fears. I really had a hard time believing that it wouldn't be a long road to her feeling easy with any man, even the Hero.

This author was recommended by a friend. I'm mixed about it. Perhaps it is because I'm quite jaded with the BDSM stories. According to goodreads, I have read over 1300 BDSM books. I can't fathom reading that many, but apparently I have. If I had read this book ten years ago, I probably would have loved it. Now, after being in the lifestyle a bit longer and reading so much, this book is more a meh.
This book contains an exclusive club where elite and rich male dominants can get their kink on. It's all mysterious. It just so happens a woman who is looking for her sister needs to get into this club on the pretense of being a submissive. Probably? She was traumatized a few years ago and hasn't really recovered and the only man she ever submitted to broke her heart. All the check boxes of how I don't like BDSM represented. About half way through the book, I'm cringing at the scenes and the dialogues between the characters. The characters themselves, I didn't really like. I only liked Reid's best friend... who I can't even remember his name which is bad.
Reid rubbed me the wrong way. Brynn had too many issues she needed to heal from first before going back into BDSM. The entire set up just put me ill at ease. Still, for those who like romanticized BDSM, this story will hook a reader in. For those who are into the lifestyle, this may be a bit too glittery for you.

Well written. A few typos/editing errors scattered throughout the book.
It is set up to flip between the past, titled as 'Then' and the present, titled as 'Now'. I'm not a big fan of flipping past to present, but this is set up well and works with the way the story is told.
Loved it & definitely going to read the next book in the series.

CRASH INTO YOU was well worth the wait . . . and I've been waiting on this sweet and talented author's debut for quite a while. Roni Loren has been a blessing to my writing career through her Fiction Groupie blog, and I'm thrilled to see the rave reviews pouring in for her now. I must say, i have been waiting for over 6 months to read this book, that i couldn't read it fast enough the moment i got my hands on it! I LOVED it, Reid is waaaaayyyyy sexy, a real alpha male and dirty talker to boot... YUM! And Brynn is such a lost soul, that i felt so sorry for her and i hardly ever feel anything for the heroines in the books that i read! And all i can say is HELLO Jace, i'm so glad that your story is next! All in all a very satisfying read. Not into BDSM, but for Reid and Jace i would definitely visit the Ranch! LOL! Bravo, Ms. Loren, a real 5 star debut, I can't wait to read your next book!

This book is by an author that I have never read before. That being said I will be reading her books again. In fact I look forward to the next book "Melt Into You", which is Jace book. Cant wait to see how his book plays out.
Reid and Brynn has so much chemistry together. They were burning up the pages. This book isn't just about D/s there is a really good story behind all the kinky stuff. I was invested in the characters and into the plot. I was dying to know what was going on . What had caused all the anger between Reid and Brynn. I love stories that have back stories. Each chapter started with Now or Then. There was 10 years of hurt and anger.
Yes this book is kinky there is a menage. Lots of really hot sex. But there is a story about Brynn trying to find her sister who is missing and at "The Ranch". Reid who is trying to help her. But he has his own agenda as well. There is mystery as well. Something happened to Brynn and her mother. All of this blends together into a mystery of What the hell happened??? I was relieved cause there came a point where the menage happened and all I could think about was how can she stand it? But the author saved the day by making her reaction to certain things feel real. The emotions that Brynn feels felt real to me. And Reid's anger made me smile cause yeah that's how he should react when being told something like that. There were some dark moments that were so real to me, that it creeped me out. But that means that the baddie was nasty and well written.
Overall I was thrilled that I won this book and look forward to more books by this author. :)

The book alternated between the past and the present and actually started really good, but after the first quarter I only continued reading it for the scenes because the romance was full of my pet peeves, including H/h keeping secrets from one another, the heroine lying to the hero in the past and in the present, her breaking up with him again ‘just because it’s better this way’ and so on. Besides, it was not an emotional read in the parts that referred to the present. H/h had a great love story but when they meet again they only feel physical attraction, no regrets, longing, nada. No actions showed they were falling in love again (the hero even shared her in a ménage), their pondering was mostly about how they felt physically about each other, only saying I love you at some point nearing the end of the book. On the plus side, the scenes were well written.

A creative way to present a trending topic in erotic romance (BDSM, D/s) Crash Into You provides likable characters, a compelling plot and a reason to want to read more (which I understand is in the works).
Roni Loren's story of mild intrigue, interlaced with personal growth is one of those books hard to put down. The dialogue is tight and real and the set up (rich guy/poor girl) works because the couple feels believable. There is a slight twist at the end I had to go back and read, which would normally cause me to deduct a 1/2 a star as it wasn't entirely clear at first read. But maybe that's because I stayed up all night to finish it and was a little bleary eyed hence my "huh?" moment. Any book that keeps me from my much needed sleep gets 5 stars. I'll provide a longer more in depth review on my blog on January 17

It’s been ten years since social worker Brynn LeBreck has laid eyes on her former high school lover Reid Jamison. Reid, now an attorney has lost a high-profile case and is determined to find the evidence to clear his client who has been wrongfully charged with the murder of Brynn’s mother. While Reid is searching for said evidence, he has agreed to take on some pro-bono work at the Women’s Crisis Center where Brynn works. Kelsey, Brynn’s younger sister, has vanished shortly after placing a disturbing phone call to her sister for help, and all leads point to a BDSM retreat spot known as “The Ranch”. Brynn needs Reid’s help in getting into The Ranch and posing as an undercover submissive to confirm that Kelsey is there and help her out of her latest bout of trouble. Reid offers his help through their mutual friend Jace who is a member of The Ranch. What Brynn doesn’t count on is Reid has no intentions of her submitting to a stranger in such a strict BDSM/D/s setting and therefore he is determined to pose as her Dom for his own selfish desires and for Brynn’s protection. I am a die-hard fan of second chance love. What I enjoyed about the set up of the story is the author arranged the chapters to rotate “then” and “now” for the first half of the book. In doing this we get a strong visualization of how Brynn and Reid’s romance developed ten years ago as teens and how their relationship fell apart due to a horrific incident that Reid is completely unaware of. With this back story, we are able to better understand why both Brynn and Reid feel betrayed by the other and are unwilling to trust now.
Roni Loren established a well-defined couple diving into the social differences of both Brynn and Reid as teens and how it affects their individual self-worth as adults. Reid has lived his share of self-loathing as a son of a convicted rapist. When he discovers a desire for dominance and control, it only heightens his overall lack of self-worth. Brynn is the product of an affair of her mother’s prostitution which eventually led to murder. Both Reid and Brynn’s past family history comes back to haunt them in the present and brings a new terror to their lives that neither expected. While Ms. Loren set an immediate and heated chemistry between Brynn and Reid, the actual plot fell flat and became disjointed throughout the story. Several important issues were just skirted over and not resolved. Once the true killer of Brynn’s mother is revealed the suspense was already lost as well as a major scene needed for Reid to have closure and peace for himself. Ms. Loren totally skipped the ramifications of who the killer is and the emotional affect it should have had on both of the main characters. I actually went back to re-read to see if I missed the confrontation and I confirm that I didn’t. Also, I have read many authors that write BDSM with D/s play and to me this was almost a sham of the lifestyle. The only evidence of BDSM was the title use of “sir” and most of the time it was spoken in a playful joking tone. There is also one blindfold/bondage ménage scene and some light butt slapping. With what I have read in prior BDSM storylines, this does not constitute a BDSM lifestyle. The seriousness of trust/submission was not explored and came across as more casual role play than a lifestyle. Finally as the story progressed, the compelling and sensual dialogue that captivated me in the beginning was a memory in the last half of the book.
For a debut release, I believe Ms. Loren’s creativity of character and emotion was adamantly strong, but I believe with better editing, a more cohesive voice and structured plotline, she can improve volumes in her overall storytelling.

Where do I start!??! Maybe the hot cover? No that's a given. I should mention though that when I saw this book had quotes from some of my favorite authors (ie Shayla Black, Lorelei James and Jo Davis) I knew it had to be awesome. I mean, those ladies write amazing books, so if they something is that good then it has to be, right??
Well, this book delivered! Roni Loren can definitely write a great story with characters I cared for and was rooting for. Lets start with the fact that they were lovers in the past. They were in love and people got in the way of their happiness then. Fast forward ten years and their lives collide again and they have to help each other. The passion and the feelings all come rushing back.
I loved the "Then" and "Now" parts of the book. I love books that do that because it slowly builds up their present while you learn in small doses about what happened to them before. And what a story these two had.
First of all, rich boy, now lawyer, Reid Jamison is hot as sin! He also has skeletons in his closet, being the son of a rapist and a sadist. He had to fight with his desires for a BDSM relationship while trying not to become his father. Brynn was the girl to give him everything he wanted. He loved her, body, mind and soul. Until she left him, for reasons that we know find out.
Brynn also comes from a terrible background, her mother being an "easy" woman and that was a reputation she had to fight against while then raising her sister by herself. Being with Reid the way he wanted made her feel a bit like walking in her mothers' shoes, but it wasn't like that between them. Just maybe what others saw. And then came that one night that ruined their lives for years to come.
Now her sister ends up at a BDSM couples retreat getaway as a training submissive and Brynn has to go rescue her. Having to infiltrate that world again and having to submit to a stranger. Except that Reid has no plans of letting her do this alone and goes in as her Dom.
This book is hot but also emotional, with a great storyline! I can't wait to read the next one!!

This book is a great mix of mystery, steam, and romance. The characters are real and the dialogue is great. Most of all, I love the "now" and "then" plot that takes two characters and shows the history they have tried so hard to bury as well as the present day "re-meet." Love it!!

4 1/2 stars. Full disclosure - I "met" Roni online, and have hosted her on my blog. So I was disposed to like her work from the get-go. However, I was pleasantly surprised with how deliciously hot I found this book.
I felt nervous about the BDSM angle novel, but the connection between Reid and Brynn carried me through. Call me a prude, but spanking/whipping doesn't do it for me, even in its mildest forms.
As a few of the other reviewers have noted, there's a menage scene, which I thought was totally hot. In fact, my only quibble with this book is that Jace comes close to overshadowing Reid as interesting male lead. When they're on the page at the same time, I tend to "look" at Jace (and I don't even go for blonds!)
Brynn is a wonderfully strong yet vulnerable heroine; she's a heroine not only in name, but in thought and action. To save her sister, she's willing to face some of her biggest personal demons. Reid is heroic from the time he arrives on the scene, but his past few years have not been impressive, though they are logical. The parallel storylines, now and then, worked for me, letting me see them fall in love, twice. The danger and suspense at the end was something that I felt I saw a-comin' a long way off, but there were twists and turns in it that were a total surprise. All in all, a fabulous debut, and I am waiting impatiently for Jace's story to be told in July.

4 stars. Full disclosure: I'm an author, and I also know and like the author of this book. That said, I know a LOT of authors who I like very much, and have read a LOT of their books, but I don't review even 10% of them. I only review books I would actually recommend to a reader of that particular genre whether I knew the author or not, because before I even thought about becoming a writer, I was a reader. I still am a reader, I would hate to steer someone wrong.
Fact is, I'm reviewing this book because I enjoyed it. It was sexy and very well written. The author clearly knows her craft. This is huge to me nowadays because I can't seem to turn off my internal editor anymore, even when pleasure reading. Really concise, tight writing, all the chapters drove the plot forward, lots of show, and the pacing was perfect. I loved the "now" and "then" breakdown because we got to be a PART of Brynn and Reid's relationship rather than wade through a bog of exposition.If you enjoy a well-written, steamy erotic romance novel with a neat little mystery woven in, I really think you'll enjoy this author's debut. I don't normally read erotic romance, but as a writer of upmarket women's fiction, I thought it would be good for me to push beyond my comfort zone. I discovered Roni Loren on Twitter, and she had a lot of smart things to say. I read the book excerpt on Amazon, found it exceedingly well-written, but felt some trepidation with the subject matter. A few weeks later, though, I still couldn't get the book off my mind. So I bought it, read it, and loved it. The characters are so real that the plot is almost secondary. The sex is closely tied to the plot and the character arc, so it never seems gratuitous. This is beautifully crafted novel, and the quality of the writing is surprisingly mature for a debut.

For the first erotic romance I've ever read, I'm surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. I'm a follower of Roni's Fiction Groupie blog, so I knew I'd enjoy her writing style going into this, but I simply could not put this book down (or rather, I had to for real life and wish I hadn't had to). The sex scenes were great (of course), but more than that the chemistry and emotion between Brynn and Reid was amazing. I'm not normally a fan of villain subplots, either, but this one didn't feel forced at all and seemed like a natural branch of the storyline. Highly recommended, even for other readers like me who have never tried erotic romance before. A fantastic debut.

I don't do spoilers but can tell you that this breakout author has a talent for turning a phrase and keeping the reader turning the page. Moving between flashbacks and present-day was seamless and added to the intrigue, tension and building emotions. Brynn and Reid will take you on an emotional and dangerous journey, and you'll be glad you went along. This book was smoking hot, and I look forward to the next installment.

Holy hot dom with a soft side, this book was steamy hotness with a side of heartbreak and action!! Roni Loren, you are officially on my radar and on my favorites list with this one!!
Crash Into You had my pulse racing and my stomach twisting from start to finish, I hated every time I had to put this book down! Written from both Brynn and Reid's POV, switching between present time and their relationship 10 years in the past, a lot of ground is covered and we get to see the bigger picture about their love story. Brynn, the hard-working woman with a tough life that has a secret naughty side, was such a great character. She's been through so much and put up with so much, but she's tough and just wants her chance to be happy. She thought she had it with Reid all those years ago, despite their very different backgrounds (yep, he's loaded) and his erotic desires, until one event tears her world to oblivion. Ten years down the road, Brynn is still coping with the aftermath of being broken and shattered when she finds out Reid will be the new lawyer at her office. Yes, the guy who broke her heart and let her down is back in her life whether she wants it or not, and it's making it hard for her to stop thinking about the kinky sex she loved so much...even though it terrifies her. So when she discovers her sister is in trouble and that the only way to get to her is by spending 3 days at the exclusive BDSM retreat, Brynn hopes that facing her fears head-on will finally get her over the past. Lucky for her, Reid decided he needs to be the one that helps her ease back into the lifestyle and find her sis...uh-huh, at that point my heartrate was already picking up speed!! Reid and Brynn have to deal with the skeletons in their closets, all the while dealing with their irresistible attraction for each other and some dangerous enemies that they least expected.

I loved that they discovered and acted on Reid's dreams of being a dominant together, as if they were both learning how far they wanted to go. The night of their break up in the past was painful and heartbreaking to read, my heart was crushed for Brynn. To have to go through that alone would just be terrifying, and to know what happened from Reid's side too just made it twice as painful!!
I feel like their time at the retreat should be mentioned separate from everything else, because there were so many scenes that just had me melting into a puddle on the floor they were so steamy!! Reid clearly knows his woman and what she wants, and wowza, did he deliver! And the menage scene with Jace...oh my, yummy!!! I just loved how it made Brynn feel open and sexy again, and when the truth about their past finally came out it was such an incredibly sweet moment between them!! But the happy moments don't last long when the attacker is finally revealed and Brynn is in danger, and from that point on I was hanging on the edge of my seat hoping it would all somehow work out! I was shocked at the unexpected twists and my stomach was in knots reading some of the scenes, it was intense!

People like to think that romance novels of any kind are just about sex. They’re just “Mommy Porn.” Roni Loren proves they’re dead wrong. CRASH is the beginning of a thoughtful, intelligent, and thoroughly steamy series that not only explores the world of BDSM, but shows it in the best possible light.
Brynn and Reid are engaging characters whose emotional connection draws you in and makes you care. There’s so much chemistry between them – but there’s also some serious obstacles to get over. The way Loren crafts the story and weaves together past and present makes it absolutely impossible to put down.
For me, the added bonus was the supporting cast. In the first book in a series, I always look for a strong foundation for the next books and CRASH didn’t disappoint. By the end, I longed to know who could tame Jace, the consummate charmer. I couldn’t wait to see who could go toe-to-toe with The Ranch manager Grant (whom I swooned over quite shamelessly).
CRASH has everything you could want in erotic romance. Sex, a good deal of kink, and a whole hell of a lot of heart.
Brynn and Reid are engaging characters whose emotional connection draws you in and makes you care. There’s so much chemistry between them – but there’s also some serious obstacles to get over. Crash Into You was on my list of most eagerly awaited book releases for 2012 and it didn’t disappoint. I read most of it over the course of a Saturday afternoon. I normally don’t like that back and forth, present to the past, writing device but it really worked in this book to create tension and suspense.
This book was hot. There is no getting around it though I generally find ménage scenes to be distasteful. Maybe distasteful isn’t the right word. The idea makes me uncomfortable. But it worked for this story and it left me thinking about sex and relationships and whole bunch of other things that I hadn’t thought about before – a challenge to my more traditional way of thinking. I liked that about this book. It wasn’t just sexy. There was a lot to the story and to the characters.
I can’t wait for Roni’s next book.

Holy hotness, Batman!
I was lucky enough to read a few early chapters of Crash Into You before Roni sold it, so I've been waiting to find out what happened for a looooong time. It was totally worth the wait!
Erotic romance usually isn't my thing, and the very few BDSM novels I've read have turned me off. But Roni handles all the sensitive elements of her storyline so well that I found the BDSM fascinating instead of terrifying. And there are a lot of sensitive elements. The relationship between the hero and heroine is deep and intense instead of being shallow and just about sex, which I sometimes find in erotic romance.
I read Crash Into You during a bumpy 7-hour flight (and I'm terrified of flying), and it kept me totally engrossed. I really can't wait for Melt Into You to come out.

I'm not one to review authors I know. But I have to make a remark -- as someone who *despises* flashback's or traversing into the past for anything but a page or so, the THEN and NOW combination really wow'd me. Pulled off with class, to say the least!

This is one of those "it may be me, not you" reads because most of my GR friends liked or loved this book. I thought it was very basic. Also throbbing channel, hot button, cream and a man calling a woman sugar 123354674849 times! *adds to the list of things I don't wanna read in erotica*
