Never was a fan of Van Royen and this tale of her experiment to have or not have paid sex with a famous Dutch writer had not made me a fan either.

Lekker tussendoortje.

Yeah...no. I'd give it two stars if it weren't for the ending (it doesn't really end), but as things are, this is just an overblown short story with an annoying narrator that exists more to titillate with the "who is it ABOUT, and is it TRUE???" questions than to tell a good story. I've liked other things van Royen has written, but this didn't do it for me at all.

Short story. I found it refreshing and pleasant to read. She's got quite a dry style, and comes in with some feminist punches that manage to be amusing as well as hit home. LIght reading that nevertheless is thought provoking.
