Since his debut record on SST in 1989, Roger Manning has developed work driven by pounding rhythm and aggressive imagery. His voice travels beyond the civil and cynical with a swannish, howling melodicism. He tours the U.S. and Europe regularly and lives in New York. Shanachie released his newest self-titled CD to rave reviews in January, 1997.
