Union and Communion with Christ

Rate this book
The work of Christ in His life, death, resurrection, and ascension is most impressive and foundational to the Christian faith. Yet these grand acts of redemption are of little benefit if one is not so closely associated with Jesus as to find his life and death in Him. In Union and Communion with Christ , Maurice Roberts offers us eighteen meditations on the Christian's union with Christ and its accompanying fellowship. These reflections probe the essence of this blessed union, examine its evidences and revel in its benefits.

A friend recommended this to me last summer. I am very glad he did. Mr. Roberts has provided a devotional describing our vital union with Jesus Christ because of the gospel. I particularly enjoyed his opening chapters on Abiding in Christ (chapters 1-5), the role of the Holy Spirit in our union with Christ (chapter 10) and our union with Christ as depicted in the Psalms (chapter 18). Pastoral, concrete, not abstract, and warmly written, this brief book will stir your mind, desires, and will for more Christ, out of our union with him.

What a refreshing read! Full of doctrinal truth, and also so devotional.
