Overall the anthology was a disappointment. It only seemed to be based on sex and suddenly all the reasons standing in the way of a HEA disappear after they say the three magic words, not at all believable.

Acapulco Heat by Elisabeth Naughton

Acapulco Heat by Elisabeth Naughton is a short novella about Lauren Kauffman(Peter's sister) who is a super-model. Finn is her bodyguard. The book is pretty short and fun. Lauren and Finn are attracted to each other but Finn messed up an a

Anthologies are always a bit of hit and miss. Fortunately this one is a hit. The three stories that make up Bodyguards in Bed have feisty heroines who go after what they want and who know how to deal with strong, sexy and stubborn alpha males who need to be persuaded to break their cardinal rule of never getting romantically involved with the person they are guarding.

The three novellas, while not completely belivable are entertaining. If you want a quick, sexy read - or 3 - then this is novel is for you. The three stories are fast paced, most taking place over a few days. The only complaint I have is how they "fell in love" in less than one hundred pages. But isn't that every girls dream? To be swept off their feet by some sexy savior? To me the first two stories didn't have bodyguards in the typical sense. They have characters that are tough and develop int ...more

Who's Been Sleeping In My Brother's Bed 1 star
I found both characters to be likable independently and the author tried to establish some chemistry between them but I just didn't feel it. Together, they were just boring to me, no excitement, no action. Actually the action happened off screen and was brushed off and swept under the rug as if it wasn't even a big deal. It wrapped up too neatly and seemed like an easy ploy to get her to stay with him at his place so they could have all this time we

Who's Been Sleeping in My Brother's Bed and Hot Mess are okay stories. I loved Acapulco Heat!!
A review for The Romance Reviews.

Who's Been Sleeping in My Brother’s Bed by Lucy Monroe

Danusia is young, smart and pretty. The problem? She feels like an outcast in her loving family. With an IQ that is off the charts and the youngest in the family, she is loved, but treated differently. Cosseted, she never feels quite apart of her family. When a break in at her apartment causes her to leave until it is repaired, she
They were rushed, didn't give you time to get to know the character at all. It left a what the heck just happened feeling.

Bodyguards in Bed by Lucy Monroe, Jamie Denton, Elisabeth Naughton

This book is an adult romance anthology.

The 1st story is called "Who's Been Sleeping in My Brother's Bed" by Lucy Monroe. The main characters includes a very young and smart PH.D . student and huge superhero fan Danusia Chernichenko and Atrati agent Maxwell Baker. After having her apartment broken into, Danusia goes to spend time at her brothers apartment only to find out that Max is also staying there while her brother is away. D

Sometimes, I read just for escapism-style entertainment, and that usually means a fun, fast, and sexy read like "Bodyguards in Bed". Three tantalizing tales from a trio of skilled storytellers, each a multi-genre author, are served up for your reading pleasure. In each novella, the protector is unprepared for the sensual awareness they feel in the vicinity of their surveillance subject, which gives a whole new meaning to the word "bodyguard". Each couple is a well-matched pair, with plenty of ve ...more

Bodyguards in Bed is a book made up of three different novellas from three separate authors, all with the same theme: hot bodyguards doing more than just protecting their clients. The first, “Who’s Been Sleeping in My Brother’s Bed” by Lucy Monroe, covers a brilliant Ph.D. student whose home has been burglarized. Danusia hightails to her brother’s apartment, which thought would be empty, but instead finds hottie black-ops agent Maxwell Baker has set up his own temporary home there. Her eye has b ...more

“Who’s Been Sleeping in My Brother’s Bed?” by Lucy Monroe introduces Danusia Chernichenko, a brilliant student who’s run into some bad luck lately. With her apartment broken into and needing repairs, she goes to crash at her brother’s place—only to stumble into the dark and sexy Maxwell Baker. Max tells himself (with five good reasons) why he shouldn’t get involved with his best friend’s sister. But when the break in turns into a connection to Danusia’s work at the university, Max volunteers his ...more
These 3 stories are contemporary novellas about bodyguards. All have sex, most is protected.

Lucy Monroe : 3 stars, protected sex. This author was why I bought this book, but it turns out her story is the weakest. Interracial romance, the hero is part of her black ops series. The heroine is the genius little sister of one of the main characters of a previous novel. This is a stand alone though. The story was well written & the romance good. It just pooped out on the action & was finishe

This book contains three different stories by three different authors. Overall, I loved the book. It was an enjoyable read. Individually, the first story, "Who's Been Sleeping in my Brother's Bed" was my favorite. Lucy Monroe has a way with words. It leaves you feeling like a voyeur in the development of the love affair between these characters. The second story, "Hot Mess" would have probably only gotten 4 stars on its own. While I enjoyed the story line, the intimate scenes were more crude. Th ...more

I'm not giving this 5 stars because it was the best thing I've ever read. I just really enjoyed the fast paced romance in 100 pages kind of feeling. It's like mini episodes of a show. All 3 stories are able to be read on their own. The only thing linking them is the fact that there is a bodyguard in all of them. I think the 3rd one is my favorite. They were just simple, fast, easy enjoyable stories.

I have learned a new category: "sensual stories". Think sexy, action-packed, fantasy material where both parties are nervous but they just go for it. This is a book containing 3 unrelated stories with a common bodyguard theme. Well-written and fun.

I really enjoyed Lucy Monroe's story- her story was the reason I bought this book since it's part of her Atrati series and I can't wait to read the next book in the series Heat Seeker!

I enjoyed the second story but the third story was my least favorite of them all- it wasn't bad but I just didn't care about the characters as much.

All in all it was a nice short anthology and sometimes it's nice to read something shorter in between longer books.

I read this because I just adore Elisabeth Naughton, and her contribution was by far my favorite of the bunch! It was a great story, but I would have loved just a bit more from the ending. I get that it is a novella, but hers was the only one that really felt like a full story. The other two were mediocre and too brief.

granted i only read the lucy monroe story in the book but i'm sure the others were good too... my to be read list is just too long to read the others but i needed the next in the Atrati series, though i guess it actually overlaps with the previous book. Good short story, very cute with a few hot scenes and quirky romance.

"Overall this anthology is a pleasure to read. I almost wish I read them in a different sequence and ended it on a high note. If I were you, I would leave Lucy Monroe’s Who’s Been Sleeping in My Brother’s Bed? until the very end, you won’t be disappointed!"

This was a satisfying read of three short novellas. Short stories perfect for waits in the doctors office, or on a quick flight. The characters were memorable in each story and with just enough heat to make them worthwhile reads!

Great story by Lucy Monroe which was my reason for picking up this book. The other two stories were OK but not standout for me.
