this collection of stories is weighed down by history and sadness, but has moments of beauty and clarity that made me smile... understandably disjointed in ways, these stories were part of a planned narrative as yet unfinished... at times it is hard to understand how people of color don't just massacre all the white people on the planet... so much pain and misery and death and awfulness birthed at their hands, in the name or progress or civilization of redemption or destiny... sad... each story ...more
