A must read for all Christians! A life changing book about The Judgement Seat of Christ! We will all stand before Him some day and the issue of the judgment of believers is not punishment! God will be looking for things to reward! All who receive Christ will be in heaven, but some will receive great reward and some no reward at all! This book challenges readers to live with eternity in mind! How we serve God in heaven is being determined by how we live this life!! Will you stand before Him some day and hear Him say well done? What did you do with what He gave you? When you stand before Him what will you have to offer Him from your life? Wood, hay and stubble or things that really matter, things that won't be burned up in the flames? 1 Corinthians 3:11-15

At the end of this book, the author asks, “What is the single most important thing you learned from reading this book?” Urgency.

I had never understood the importance of the Judgment Seat of Christ before reading this book. There are people in my life I yearn to reach out to, people I know who would benefit from an eye opener like this. And reading this gave me, if not motivation, then the push to finally stop looking away from God’s commands and start taking action in spreading his word.

Fantastic work. And one I will definitely be rereading and rereading for the rest of my life.

Man, I needed to read this. This was just a random book on my grandfather’s shelf that I grabbed a few years ago and decided to give a shot. It landed on my heart at just the right time. Just a real blessing. Practical, convicting, engaging, encouraging. This is one I will want to re-read.

Here are just a few of my favorite quotes:

“I can be downcast, looking at myself, or I can rejoice, looking at Him. I cannot look at both! Looking to ourselves is a form of pride, even when doing so causes us to feel discouraged because of our own inadequacy. We are still depending on ourselves and looking stubbornly inward. But God says, ‘Humble yourself! This is not about you; this is about My Son.’”

“Knowledge of the Judgment Seat motivates us to live wholly unto the Lord and to lay down our lives for others, without expecting something from them in return. God tells us about the Judgment Seat to inspire us to seek His pleasure without worrying about the way others treat us or what they may think of us.”

“If we never think about reward, or if we hold the false notion that all will receive the same reward in heaven, we will lack motivation God intended us to have.”

Definitely recommend this book to all believers! So many of us have been brought up with a fear of Judgement Day but this book allows for a more complete picture of God’s character and how to live looking forward to that day. Must-read both for those with a fire-and-brimstone background and those with a background of avoiding the subject altogether.

This book changes the way I lived and I have recommended it to others for years. I finished reading it in 2001 and it is still in print. That's the sign of a good book.

A book that every Christian should read and then share with every non-believer they know.
