Deborah S. Tukua is the author of the children's book, Traveling the Natchez Trace Parkway from A to Z, eight nonfiction books, and is currently writing middle-grade historical fiction. She lives in the Tennessee countryside, along the banks of Holly Creek, with her husband, Lowell. A native of Jacksonville, Florida, and a veteran homeschooling mom, she's written lifestyle articles for the Farmers' Almanac, since 2003. Tukua is an avid member in Word Weavers International. FUN FACTS: Tukua makes quill pens from wild goose and turkey feathers, and ink from poke berries. She can make a genuine barred owl call.

This is a fun little reference - lots of good ideas but strangely enough, most of them were already implemented and underway in folks home when I was growing up. So I guess I know a heck of a lot more pearls of country wisdom than I realized!
