I have read many reviews and comments lately that this book is a little outdated. I don’t know why that information is relevant when it is obvious that this book was originally published in 1932, so yes, some information in the book will get to be outdated. The people who say that haven't read the book properly because if the outdated information in the book is all the knowledge they got from the book, then they should change their reading habits. The book was written nearly a century back and I highly doubt that the author knew that his book will survive for so long.

No, the book is not outdated, it is just that you are now more familiar with the concept as there are numerous books and multiple lectures online which prophesize the same thing mentioned in the book.

The content of this book can never get old because the book is not about instances, stories or factual information but it is about an idea, thinking and belief. I didn’t believe in the words that were written inside the book a few years back but then I had to because I was it working for me.

I told others about it but it didn’t work for them. They could never invest that much faith in this book. Or maybe they were not ready for the philosophy of this book. Every person who read this book whose life is changed by this book had one thing in common - he was desperate to change his life and become a better person and a more successful person.

As the author, Claude Bristol wrote this book not as a book but as a pamphlet so that it can be easily distributed to people. It was only later that people came to know the importance of the words written in the pamphlet that they decided to convert it into a book.

The book talks about the power of believing and how much your thinking counts in your life. This is one topic that cannot be stressed more by the authors. Still, people don’t do it so it means either it is a hard process for them or it doesn’t work. Now it took me five years to understand what this book was teaching and how to give my hundred per cent trust to the theory mentioned in the book. So I can vouch that it definitely works. Problem with people is that they are stuck with one thinking and they don't want to change it and they also think that no matter what they think, nothing is in their control. This book, however, talks otherwise about taking control of your life, dream big and go out to achieve anything you want to achieve.

Highly recommended for anyone who thinks that success is accidental as this book will surely explain that success is a mindset and not a luck factor.

I see how this book might seem outdated for some people, but for someone who's just dipping their toes on this kind of information this book brought revelations. It gets quite preachy at some points but only in order to make you understand it's contents better.

It teaches you about that TNT within you, your fullest potential, that internal power and drive you can make use of to get where you want in life. It can only be unlocked with a positive thinking and the right mental images that will train your subconscious to give you the right premonition which, accompanied by a clever judgement and precautions, will lead you to the right path. It talks about how our mind is influenced by external suggestions and our own fears and worries born from previous experiences, and how that can damage our thinking patterns and make it difficult for us to manifest our needs. But if get rid of those, believe in ourselves, work hard and stay positive we will get far in life.

Not sure if I'm 100% sold, but it taught me that being so negative is doing me more harm than good (as similar things attract each other)

Yes, certain stories/themes are a bit outdated but if that's all you get out of this book you're not seeing the big picture. Way before "The Secret" took off in popularity Claude Bristol explains that this is not a new concept, it's not a secret or something unheard of. On the contrary, he explains that you've already heard of this theme the problem is that people seldom stop and realize how easy it is to have success in whatever endeavor you are pursuing simply by changing the way you think. I am honestly not a non-fiction reader but I have read this book front to back over 4 times. I always keep it nearby, whenever I falter and loose my focus I come back to TNT and it sets me on the right path. It helps you take responsibility for your own actions and not let that stop you from having success in the future. Essentially success is a mind game and be it that you want to start a new career, invent something or simply travel, TNT is going to help all of those under the same theme and umbrella. Quick read, have a highlighter nearby when reading.

Are you getting what you should out of life? Are you giving what you should to life?
This book explains very simply and clearly what you are likely on the cusp of achieving, but somehow not quite there. Often, the most difficult and pertinent problems you face have the simplest solutions. The problem is, despite their simplicity, they require an active, engaged effort.

That is my main takeaway from this book, which shares (and is possibly the precursor to) many ideas from pieces that came after it. If you have had your head down in the weeds for too long and need a breather to look up, you will find the book refreshing.

First time reading this book by Bristol, after reading twice, his book, "The Magic of Believing." Here, Bristol punches home the "Tap-Tap-Tap" technique of repeated Auto Suggestions for success in everything you desire in life. This book is a quicker read, but it takes inspirations from Shakespeare to Marcus Aurelius, in addition to William James and other leading thinkers to press home our thoughts magnetize what we fill our thoughts with - Like Begets Like as Bristol says in several places throughout the pages.

I own the 1954 edition of this paperback book.

This book is filled with powerful thoughts, such as, "your body, the house you live in, is just a reflection of your thoughts. You can't say that you feel bad, and feel good." and "Stop looking backward, you know where you've been." I love to high-light in my own books, and this one is very colorful!

Got 75% of the way through. While I love the uplifting nature of this book, doesn’t it feel incomplete? It reminds me of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which in my view has very limited efficacy.

This book and therapy modality both propose that by gaining awareness of our own cognitive distortions we can simply remove them. However, that belies a deeper essential truth: that for the vast majority of us with cognitive distortions or limiting beliefs as it were, those beliefs serve a very specific and valuable protective purpose for us, usually one hidden away from our own awareness by deep shame, and only brought up gently, through acceptance and compassion, leading to a deeper understanding of our own true narrative of WHY we haven’t operated this “one true distortion-free way” all along, and oftentimes enlightening us to what we truly DESIRE in a much deeper way than simply wealth and romance. Perhaps not the house on top of the hill, but the ability to truly accept ourselves as we are and see ourselves as worthy of joy! Or both! All of which to say, this book and CBT ignore the deeper self and thus following their advice can lead to a papering-over and backsliding in the longer term.

One of the most powerful books on manifestation you could read. If you aren’t ready, they are mere words and could read them over and over and the words will slip by. If you are in alignment with the message, it is truly TNT! 🤯

A picture is worth a thousand words.

If I tell people what I really want in my life, I'd get into trouble. That's all the negative thinking you're going to get out of me. Now I will start to focus on what I want instead of what everyone else wants for me.
