Anyone know when this is being released? Holding off on this series until then!

I won an ARC through Goodreads. I was told I did not have to provide a review. But I loved the book so I am going to.

The book starts off with Tavis, in the past, in the prologue. I don't want to go into that part, because I don't want to spoil anything. Then the book goes into the present, with Bree, from Awaken the Highland warrior and a few other returning characters, as Bree find another hole in her backyard. While she also has a vision of Anna in serious trouble. So of course they have to

Despite initially being confused as I didn't realize this was the third book in a series, I managed to grasp the concept fairly quickly and ended up thoroughly enjoying it. The story was quite action packed and had a lot of interesting elements to it that really captured my interest. And I just have a weak spot for time travelling Highland warriors! This was totally a guilty pleasure read for me.
This is a 4.5 star
Ms. Clenney does a great job of weaving an intriguing story about Anna and her two cell mates imprisoned in a hidden stone fortress. One is a stranger who has no idea who he is but she feels she knows. The other is just scary but reminds her of someone she once knew.

Anna is a strong warrior women who never wants to marry and have kids. After finding out the secret about her unknown father she is more determined than ever.

I loved this book!! You have to pay attention to the characters, the settings, and plot twists to get the best reading experience. Warriors saving warriors--warriors saving vampires-- what a great storyline!! Lots of twists, turns, laughs, lovin, and sexy warriors in kilts. A turn of events at the end that makes you want to reach for the next book in the series--which isn't out yet. Worth the wait tho!! I can't wait to see what happens next!!

Anita Clenney never disappoints. Heart of a Highland Warrior has everything, vampires, demons, time travel, strong women and brawny highlanders. Truly a must read just like the first 2 in this series!

I tried to like this one. I swear I did. But the book had too many word choice errors. There was a lot of fluff and repetition. Unfortunately, none of the twists amazed me. The book could have been executed much better than this.

Heart of a Highland Warrior is the third book in the Highland Warrior Series by Anita Clenney. I waited patiently for this book, and when I finally got it on my Kindle, I read it in two nights. Well, it was almost one, but I had to quit when the words started to blur. If you haven't read any of the previous books in the series, I would suggest you start with the first book, Awaken the Highland Warrior. If you start with this one first, you may be a little lost. Now on to my review.

Another book to continue the story of the Conner Clan , a band of Scottish warriors charged by Archangel Michael to protect the earth from demons. These brave men know the secret to time travel but it's a hard life leaving behind those who you love. Destined to keep fighting the Conner clan are alive and living centuries beyond their time as both descendants and original warriors continue their battle.

Anna is back after losing Angus... Everybody is looking into an empty grave... Anna gets caught snooping & meets Tavis, Faelan's brother. Nobody knew he was here! Now she has to rescue both of them along with keep a few secrets, battle a few demons & vampires, then meet up with the others... Simple for a warrior like Anna? Nothing goes quite like she plans, secrets have a way of coming out at the worse possible moment, & the ending leaves you with a smile as well as a huge "Hurry wit ...more

Another great addition to the Connor Clan Series!! I had trouble putting the book down once I picked it up to start reading. It wasn't hard to figure out who the prisoner was at the beginning, but I always enjoy how Anita weaves her tale waiting for the right moment to let the cat out of the bag.

I'm not sure how I'm going to wait for the next book as the ending left us in a huge cliffhanger. I was shocked as to who showed up! Should make for a very interesting next book.

Anita Clenney has done it again with another of her Highland Warrior novels! This story has danger, intrigue, romance and a whole bunch of sexy warriors...and the best part is that women are represented as warriors! Plenty of twists and turns and not to give anything away, but Faelan isn't the only one left of his family...definitely a must read!

Surprisingly addictive

I read this during lulls at work and it was hard to put down. This must be a series because the last sentence is a cliff-hanger!!!

After 3 years of waiting I finally got another taste of the Connor Clan - and damn did it taste good.

I really LOVE this series, everything about it is so captivating from the characters, to the story, to the amazing world. What initially drew me to the first book was the idea of classic highland warrior in the modern world, and it was really great to get that aspect of the story again. This time around Travis Connor, Faelan's little brother, finds himself locked up by vampires, with no memor

As the acclaimed Highland Warrior series progresses, more characters appear, more storylines intersect, and a fine first page filled with names and relationships is a welcome opening to this Highland paranormal romance. After all, there are present and past sibling loyalties to consider, as well as ancient demons, vampires and more, plus castles in Scotland and America, or simply “elsewhere.” But readers, whether faithful of forgetful, will quickly come to speed with the tale, as characters’ nat ...more
I won this book in a Goodreads First Reads contest.

It was not a bad read though the rape-y elements made me a bit repulsed. I will never understand the concept that some romance novels have where the guy sexually assaults a woman and she falls in love with him. It just always strikes me as abusive and wrong. In this case, yeah, they were attracted to one another before the assault happened and were forced to have sex in threat of death but still, it was abusive. I am at a lose how th

Unlike the second book in this series which I gave 5 stars this one was a letdown. This book did very little to contribute to the series. Mysteries introduced in the first and second books are NOT answered in this one. I guess there will be more books? This book created a few new mysteries and then sort of answered them. It really wasn't very well developed. Anna isn't that impressive. You feel sorry for her because her "friends" keep blabbing her most personal and humiliating secrets to the who ...more
Fun and light read. I liked the series very much and was disappointed that I had reached the last book. I think out of the the 3 written so far, I like this one best. The good guys didn't seem to fumble around as much with the turmoil and crusade. I also loved the idea of one of the major bad guys teetering on switching sides. I hope her next book is on the mysterious hybrid who's revealed at the end. That will be a fun read. Story was still a bit choppy and moved a little to fast, jumping to th ...more
Another awesome chapter to this story

I never get sick of these warriors and family. I already can't wait for the next release, and I only just completed this book. what a cliffhanger!! the sense of family, loyalty, and honour are the heart of this series. along with a few wacky bits here and there with the lovingly nutty Matilda. this book/series is great fun to read. j u st be prepared for the roller coaster ride filled with kilted Scottish warriors and their loves fighting the good fight.

Every time a Connor Clan book is published a romance reader gets a gift. For me it is like Christmas, my birthday and flowers for no reason, all rolled into one story filled with drool worthy Scottish Warriors, their feisty mates (not all the warriors are male..... How awesome is that??) and some uber nasty demons out to make Hell on Earth. Oh, and a crazy old woman with bottled Holy water and a weird cat who may or may not be a vampire slayer. Sound good yet? Oh, you better believe it! This is ...more

I love Scotsmen, kilts and time travel so this book was just perfect. I love a strong heroine so Anna being an independent woman and a warrior/demon hunter was great. And Tavis Connor...just WOW.

There are many twists and surprises...especially (view spoiler). Another excellent addition to the Connor Clan series. GRs only shows three in the series but there's no way the series ends like this so I'll anxiously be awaiting the ne

This is a great series, except I am disappointed that there are only 3 books. There were many questions and situations that were not answered leaving me a bit gruntled and dissatisfied and my curiousity engaged. The author could probably written several more books in this series. However, the three books were excellent with a lot of paranormal activity, threatening situations and of course several love stories.
