I was honored to know John Harvey Gray. I attended his workshops, received my Reiki Certifications from him, and he helped me start my Equine Energy Work practice. The history of Reiki was very important to him - as it was passed to him by Hawayo Takata - and this book is evidence of that. He and his wife Lourdes tell his story with clarity and love, while reaching and inspiring people. It's wonderful to have it 'on record'. I feel it's an important read for anyone who takes Reiki - its traditional roots and power - seriously. John was an incredible human being, and helped countless people through his hundreds of workshops, gatherings, sessions, teachings and his gentle, kind, embracing ways.
It's upstairs...not sure what page I am on. Going through the personal histories of the authors, and their impression of their Reiki master before it was passed on to him and 2 others. I have been learning from a contributing author, Steven Mc Fadden and am glad to read some of his writing.
I enjoyed the Takata stories a lot. I learned some good techniques that I will use and keep in mind while I do Reiki on myself and others. I am glad I read this book.
Informative good read with personal experiences as well as good advice for giving Reiki also a translation of Takata's Leiki she received from Hayashi on how to treat various ailments.
