Utterly original and refreshing, Auracle is a breath of fresh air with its addicting premise full of riveting turns. This was even more so in my case where I hadn't read the synopsis in ages and, therefore, had no idea what I was getting into, causing me to be shocked by the actual premise itself. It absolutely thrilled me.

Since I'm hoping you all get the same exciting experience of going in blind I won't bring up the primary plot line, but work my way around it. What I can safely tell you, is i

Seventeen year old Anna has the ability to astrally project, she has only told her best friend Rei what she can do. When Anna witness the death of a girl (Taylor) from her school she returns to her body only to find Taylor's spirit in her body.
With Rei's help she must figure out a way to get back in her body before Taylor ruins her life or anyone else's.

-The first few chapters started off promising enough, but then things got really boring - all Anna did was alternatively float around an

Reading AURACLE was an amazing experience for me, particularly because I was the first person on the list of the Class of 2k12 ARC Tour. I know it sounds silly, but I felt special because I'd gotten an early peek at a book that people are going to go bonkers for. I loved everything about this story. I'll start with the cover--it's magical and mysterious and just plain beautiful. The cool thing is that all the very same words--that I just rattled off--also apply to the story inside. The plot feel ...more

When I first read about “Auracle” on Goodreads I thought that I have to read this book because I’ll love it.And I was right.

I liked this book a lot.In the beginning it was a little boring to be honest, but interesting because it was about a girl who could astral project from her body.Besides, the friendship between Anna and Rei is the friendship that I’ve always wanted to have and I never h

Auracle was simply surprising. I had major cover lust from the moment I laid eyes on this breath-taking artwork, and I had to find out why this girl was hovering next to a beautiful waterfall. I was not disappointed when the cover was actually part of the story! How refreshing when that happens.

Gina Rosati’s writing style is clear, beautiful and descriptive, and she blends a thrilling, addictive storyline with romance and tension that kept me engaged through the whole story. Anna is a compellin

Astral projection, a conniving body thief and a tight little frame-up make for a whirlwind debut from Rosati. HIghly recommended!

My thoughts

Covershimmer ,shimmer, blue shimmer . A icy-cold blue waterfall with in front a floating girl. High on the 2012 coverloves

Book:Paranormal YA has seen a big boom.Throughout the short time span books have popped up like mushrooms.Ideas that were new got recycled and used again and again with a basic formula.Resulting in stale cookie cutter bad boy infested ( the good ones not included) young adult books. This one is different. I see you are rolling your eyes.""Yeah right, different."

This was definitely different. I have not actually read a book like this before so I found it very refreshing and enjoyable.

Anna has been best friends with Rei for as long as she can remember. He's a neighbour who's been a huge part of her life and she wouldn't know where she would be without him- he's her rock. Seth is Rei's guy best friend. They make the trio. Between the two very hot and very fit guys, Anna's only know noticing how HOT Rei really is. And the new slutty Taylor has always had

Lets start off by saying this is a MUST read of 2012 and that’s the truth! I want to thank Gina for letting me experience the wonderful journey this book took me on and a huge thanks for writing it for us as well! The story of Anna was so different from most books I have read and I have to say it was remarkable! How cool yet scary it must have been for her to be able to astrally project form herself while she slept. The place’s she is able to visit, how exciting that must have been. Yet the only ...more

Anna has a unique ability to attune herself to the vibrations of the world and astrally project from her body. For as long as she can remember she's used this knack to travel, escape, and do things her everyday life can't afford. When tragedy strikes leaving Anna without a body, it not only opens her eyes to the things she's taken for granted but will also challenge the extent of her abilities.

Sadly the most exciting thing about Auracle was the cover. Gina Rosati's debut was ok, and by all means

I received an arc, courtesy of the author.

This was my first book about astral projection and chrystally things. I found the whole concept fascinating. I was rooting for Anna and Rei the whole way and really wished I could have killed Taylor myself for being such a you know what.

A terrifying ending with a satisfying romantic end. I loved it start to finish.

A thrilling story fueled by twists and turns, a touch of the paranormal and remarkably unforgettable characters. Once I was a few chapters deep, I simply had to know what happened next and I found myself thinking about the characters well after I was finished.

What an exciting blend of paranormal elements, suspense, romance, and plenty of action packed moments. AURACLE is a breath of fresh air and a book I thoroughly enjoyed spending time reading. I've read little books that have astral projection, and I what Gina introduced me was both intriguing and mesmerizing.

One of the things I loved about this book was the fact that Gina explains Anna's ability to astral project. She made it so I not only understand how Anna was able to do this, but sh

I have so many emotions!!! I had forgotten the synopsis of this book when I first started reading so I didn't really remember what I was getting myself into. The idea that Anna (she has my name!!!!) can astrally project is so cool and so original I was just sucked into the story from the very beginning. In a world that's so overly dominated by vampires and dystopians, the ideas behind Auracle were so refreshing and well thought out.

Auracle is a very cute and sweet book that, thanks to Goodreads, I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of. I really enjoyed Auracle but I also found it lacking in many areas. It was very rated G and I feel like I would have enjoyed it much more if I was younger. The plot is unique and it has a very innocent, light feel to it. It has a slower pace than what I usually prefer but still held my interest fairly well. I love the idea of the book and I’m a huge astrophysics and theoretical physics nerd, ...more

Wow, just wow! Gina has written an exhilarating debut novel, It literally just blew my mind! From the very first page it grabbed me.

Gina's storytelling is truly awe-inspiring, every step of the way I felt like I was apart of the story. A movie just playing in my head, one that I didn't want to end. The characters are so easy t

Anna has always been able to astrally project herself. It's always been fun to visit exotic places, but a major problem occurs when Anna decides to spy on her friend Seth, who's been coerced into meeting a vicious girl named Taylor at the waterfalls. Taylor ends up plummeting to her death over the falls, and when Anna returns to her body, she discovers that her body is already occupied. By Taylor. Life as a projection of herself comes with some problems, like how to communicate, but her best fri ...more

Auracle is one of the best YA novels I've read in a good long while and will definitely be going on my favorite reads for 2015 list. Astral travel is cool, handy and exciting, yet, Anna finds out how it can also be extremely dangerous, especially with dead enemies in the vicinity.

A truly good story should hook the reader from the start and this is what Auracle did for me. Anna popping out of her body and over to an erupting volcano most certainly got my attention right away. From that point on t

Though this book had a unique and very promising premise, I was personally underwhelmed with the result.

First off, there's a lot of slut-shaming going on. Taylor is constantly mocked for wearing revealing clothing, and our protagonist even dislikes it when at one point Taylor wears jeans and a "sleazy top." And yet, when Rei and Seth walk around shirtless after a run, they're not criticized a bit. I'm not usually a fan of books that send the message that women embracing their sexuality are slut

This book was awful. Plain and simple. The plot would have taken about 10 pages, but it was stretched out too much. Basically, Anna Rogen has the ability to "astral project" her soul can leave her body and travel anywhere in the world. Her friend advises her not to do it, but she does anyway. Her home life sucks, her dad is an alcoholic and pretty abusive, and her mom just keeps making excuses for him. Sounds interesting, right? Wrong. Her school's most awful bitch lures her weird friend to "the ...more

I loved the cover of this book when I first saw it, but now that I've read the book, I totally get it and love it a thousand times more. This is a great page-turning read that has a surprising amount of humor in its very fast-paced and compelling story. It is very much a paranormal, but something a little different than what I'm used to from the genre, which made it a very refreshing read about a girl who can astrally project and her best friend who try to fix the bad situation they find themsel ...more

Anna has the gift of astral projection — she can slip out of her body and go anywhere she wants, from checking out a volcano in Hawaii to zooming through space to watch supernova up close. All’s fun and games until Anna vacates her body to check on a friend… and someone else jumps into it. Left as mere energy with no physical form, it’s up to Anna and her best friend Rei to prove their friend innocent of murder, deal with their feelings for each other, and kick out the serious Mean Girl that’s t ...more

So cool!

I was super excited to read this because I remember reading a few novels featuring astral projection in Jr High and loving them. The concept of AURACLE gives me shivers - because that is the big fear - that if you leave your body, someone else will snatch it right up and you won't be able to get it back. And Rosati delivers the creepy goods. We see the good parts of astral projection (Anna can go some amazing places - like inside volcanos), but then we quickly see the huge consequence. A

The plot related to aural projection is surely innovative, sort of like a redo version of Insidious. However, I felt that some things were added only for the plot and did not have any proper reason or explanation. Like the theory about the Heavenly Light, it is a convenient if not wholly rational idea, but that’s just my own opinion. The thing or rather, the character that I absolutely failed to like is Anna. She lies and hides things from Rei if she thinks he'll be angry or mad, basically s
