Real history. Mao's cultural revolution was the greatest leap forward yet made by humanity. It was ultimately defeated, but we can and must do it again, world wide, and win!

Though I’m sure the title is in reference to Mao’s clear alignment with the so-called “Gang of Four” during the GPCR, the contents of the book also work to cement Mao as the fifth “classic of Marxism”; it is clear that under his leadership, massive developments of Marxist theory and practice were made based on the work of Marx, Engels, Lenin and Stalin before him. As a result, these primary-source speeches and articles are essential reading for anyone looking to grasp the modern-day Communist trend of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, and its continuity and divergence from previous understandings of Marxism before the ruptures of the Cultural Revolution.
Raymond Lotta’s introduction is also very significant, providing ample context for the documents and vital information about often obscured or misrepresented figures like Hua Guofeng and Zhou Enlai. Lotta provides scathing criticism of both and makes clear the incorrectness of those scholars and pop historians who frame Zhou as a “pragmatic voice of reason” against the “extremism” of the CCRG and Hua as the “chosen successor of Mao”.
A very good book on all fronts.
