I really liked 24/7. I first read Shuffle Up and Deal and I really like that story by Susan DiPlacido so I looked into others. I recognized a few of the character's names so I picked this book. Although they books can certainly be stand alone, if there are carry over characters, I really wish author's (or whoever loads these stories) would put book 1, book 2 etc. so I can read them in order. I am sure that there would be sales that way as well. I am funny like that as I like to read books all in order even if they can be stand alone.

So that is my major complaint. I also think that there is a huge character jump from this couple Marina and Miguel and I would love to have read how they got from this book to Shuffle Up and Deal. I am going to check into that. Again, if the books were numbered some how, I wouldnt have to research.

Now really about the book. I really like it. I got completly wrapped up into the story. I loved how when Marina and Miguel were together, I couldn't stop getting the feeling he was playing her and the entire time I was reading I seriously had no idea where the auther Susan DiPlacido would take it. It could have gone either way. Even though I read about this couple is "Shuffle Up and Deal" I wasnt actually sure if it was the same couple so I truly didnt know.

As with "Shuffle Up and Deal" DiPlacido makes her main female character a walking mat. Which I really hate however she does turn it around and I could read how Marina was coming into her own and stronger.

There is alot of card playing details in this book. A lot of explaining, like a manual. I could have done without that and I did skim over it. I am sure some people would really love that much detail but not I.

I seem to be complaining about the book more than complimenting it but it was a really good book. It was a nice long read, full of details and a great story. There are plently of laugh out loud moments and the sexy love making parts were excellent. Very well written were those scenes. Really really good.
I have enjoyed these 2 past books by DiPlacido that I am going to see if there are more books that have these characters run into each other. I love this group of characters and I still want to read all about them.

This was written by an old friend, one of her first to get published. Gritty with some very hot scenes... found out shortly before this was published that she wrote erotica, who knew?
