Interesting, if a bit dry in places.

These are the people who wanted to be President, but never quite (or by a landslide) met the mark, people like Stephen Douglas, John Breckinridge, Aaron Burr, Henry Clay, John Sherman (William Tecumseh Sherman's brother), Hubert Humphrey, George McGovern, Walter Mondale, Michael Dukakis, John Kerry, Hillary Rodham Clinton and more!
