For a short book it packed a lot of punch. Something about a man with wings that just screams...HOT! Michael is so angelicyet oh so bad. Eva's essence calls to him and who is he to deny her. I loved her character, sassy, spunky and pushover for Michael. Just a fun, unique story line that has lots of potential. I only hope that the upcoming books will be a little bit longer. I would have enjoyed spending more time with Michael and Eva. ...more

This was just an okay read. An introduction to a long series, twelve books if all them fallen angels got their own story.

This story didn't overwhelm me nor did it bore me. Not much depth in anything, in fact. I would probably forget about all about it tonight.

Three stars, because Michael was shirtless the entire time the story was told.

First, let me just say...the only reason I didn't rate with 5 stars, is the length. A novella that could have, should have, been longer. The story was there, room for a bit more development without overkill. I hope the next installment is a bit longer. I'll be starting it the second I'm done with this review!

Good, quick paranormal read

Paranormal isn't my usual, but I did enjoy the way this story was written and the overall plot of the series

A very story fantasy story. Story continues in other books. Some editing errors, be prepared to reread sentences, paragraphs. As the errors do distract from the story. A good beach read.

I personally felt that the story could have stood to be expanded on, there was so much room for intrigue but for a short it was fascinating.

Book 1 in the Fallen Warriors series

Angels arent really Gods servants, in For Love of an Angel. No, instead they come from a different dimension. When the veil fell and angels found themselves stuck on Earth, for good, they decided to play up to the fact that humans worshiped them and do what any invasive

This book is the first of a series and since it was free and the title appealed to me, I downloaded it. It took me a while to start reading it, but once I started, I fell into the story right away. This always pleases me very much. As much as I like the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, for instance, I find I have trouble getting into the stories at times, especially since they often begin with characters we don't know yet as a reader (and who we might well come to root for after all, as I've ...more

I had first heard of this novella when Christi with Smitten with Reading reviewed it over at her blog. You can see her review HERE. I loved the idea of this series and I immediately went out and bought the novella and I really enjoyed it!

The world has been a changed place for about 12 years now. The veil between the angel realm and our realm has fallen and angels have moved into earth. They have changed many things including giving everyone a specific job, a specific place to live, doing away

In a previous review, I stated that the paranormal genre is my favorite genre. Despite that, I haven't read many novels that feature angels as the paranormal aspect in the book so I really wasn't sure what to expect with this one. Let me begin by saying this: quite simply I adored this book! I'm so happy that it is a series because I cannot wait for the next one.

When angels took over the world a lot of things changed drastically and even though the angels are rarely actually seen, the world

My Review:
I really like the world that Rosalie Lario has established in this first novel. In this novella, the world has changed. Suddenly the "veil" that separated angels and humans has dropped. No one really knows why the veil dropped, but the angels are now in charge. They have taken away the world as we know it...housing and jobs are assigned; there is no such thing as money any longer; there are curfews; humans are basically being used as slave labor. What humans don't realize is that their

When the veil between the human and angel worlds collapsed, mankind looked to the angels as godlike figures. Its been a dozen years since the veil fell and angels rule the world, keeping humans in line. Most humans follow the angels orders blindly, but not Eva Smythe. Oh, Eva keeps her doubts to herself, but she cannot help but wonder what it is the angels are up to. Her questions are answered one night when an angel appears in her apartment.

When I saw that this book was only .99 cents and that it was about angels, I decided to purchase it because I've been on an angel kick lately. This book is worth way more than I paid for it!

Angels and fallen angels have become popular recently, but this book was a lot different than any other angel story I have ever read. First off, the angels are the bad guys in this novella with the fallen angels as the good guys. That's pretty original by itself! But it gets better! The angels now reside on

This was actually a pretty good story. Michael and Eva were hotter than Carolina asphalt in August. The underlying story is very interesting as well. Imagine a world run by angels stranded on earth because of a fallen veil. There is no mention of God so these angels may or maynot be of the Biblical type. My guess is 'not'. So humans are now worshipping these beings and have given them complete control of every aspect of their lives. Michael was once part of this group of white winged powerful ...more

You may think you know about angels, but you have no idea. Ms. Rosalie has created a world of angels unlike any Ive ever read, and I loved every second of it! The winged ones are anything but friendly when the veil between there world and ours breaks. They take over the earth, and life as we knew it ceased to exist. They build their high towers, and use their security team to enforce their rules. Human is life is left up to chance with a

I havent really read any angel stories, so needless to say, I liked this story. To be honest, in a way, this series reminds me of one of my favorite shows, SUPERNATURAL. If you watch that show, then you know theres a war going on and the one angel friend Sam and Dean had is no more ( *sniff* a moment of silence for Castiel, please). This storyand this seriesis taking the story of angelsboth Fallen and notto a whole nother level. The veil between our world and theirs has fallen and, well, to be ...more

Angel fantasy in an alternate future.

Thirteen years ago the walls between dimensions collapsed and angels came to live on Earth. They took over the running of the whole world, from rules to housing to what kind of job you are assigned under guise of promoting "peace." Basically they are scary angels and they have what is called the "Consortium," humans who act as police officers and all humans fear them also.

Eva is a barrista at a local coffee shop and will be that until she dies, but hey, she

For Love of an Angel (The Fallen Warriors Series) by Rosalie Lario

Angels rule over humans with the intent of eliminating them when they are no longer needed. However, there are twelve known as the Fallen that will war against their brethren to stop them.

For the Fallen to preserve their immortality and strength, they must find a mate with angel blood. Michael is one of the twelve Fallen Angels and he has found his mate in Eva Smyth.

Eva keeps a low profile, going to work in a mediocre

Oh for the love of all things good in books.

Why are Angel books today being super short with instant love.

I get that (I didn't but I know now that the next book is about Ethan) each book will change who it focus' on. And so this book is just about Eva and Michael, fine what ever. Just this book feels so short, its an interesting concept.

Almost dystopian (well I suppose it is) world where the 'veil' between angels and humans fell down and angels rule over Humans. I can totally see this happening

For Love of an Angel provides a sexy romance, compelling characters, and intriguing worldbuilding in a well told novella-length story. From the main characters' surprising romantic meet to the heroine's introduction into the angelic world, the chemistry between them sizzles. The same pull of essences that draws Michael and Eva together reaches out and grabs hold of the reader. Eva's reactions to all the revelations she experiences are totally realistic and make you feel like you're going through ...more

I really enjoyed this as a start to the series. It was very much focused on Micheal and Eva but it's laying groundwork for a big battle towards the end of the series when the other unmated fallen find mates. I did get worried at the end but thankfully it turned out how I wanted it to!

I love the concept of the angels in this book and how they've been set up as potential oppressors of the human race and indeed the death of the human race if the fallen can't stop their angel brethren! I'm hoping

This was a quick, fun read. I used to be shy of anything with a hint of paranormal in it, but recently I find myself really enjoying the fantasy of these books. This was no exception. I thoroughly enjoyed this. It follows a trope I have read before: (view spoiler) but it does it in a fresh enough way to not be too predictable. This first book draws you into a world that is ...more

This was an interesting alternate-Earth story in which the veil between the realm of humans and the realm of angels is destroyed, bringing thousands of angels to Earth. While most people expect angels to be the saviors of humankind, instead humans find themselves subjugated and enslaved by them.

Eva is a woman who enters into a relationship with Michael, a fallen angel, one of 12 who actually respect humans and want to save them from the angels' plans. Because of their relationship, they both

I definitely enjoyed this short novella....but I wish there had been more of it! I felt there was room for more without being too much...either about each character or the "war". Maybe the next in the series will be a bit more in depth.

Micheal... is just hot, sweet and affectionate but still a "man". The sex? *phew* HOT. Usually I'm not too keen on instant attraction and love but it didn't feel rushed here. With the world and characters Ms. Lario built, it just made sense.

I loved that Eva

For such a short story, this one certainly had a lot going for it. The characters were well developed and engaging, the plot was a twist on other angel stories I've read and there was great chemistry. This story about fallen angels and how they're different than humans believe them to be captured me from the very beginning. I enjoyed the world created by the author and found myself wanting more. I loved this book. From the moment I started to read it I couldn't stop. It's a short read (only took me about 2 1/2 hrs to read) but there's absolutely nothing in this story that is lacking. The romance is hot, the characters are very well developed and the world that Rosalie has created I have to admit is quite amazing. While reading it I found myself stopping once in a while and thinking about what my reaction would be if I had to live in a world like that. I really enjoyed it and definitely ...more
