O Lugar do Morto foi-me sugerido pela M João Covas quando estivemos juntas na apresentação do livro A Sociedade dos Sonhadores Involuntários na Feira do Livro de Sesimbra este ano. Ambas "virgens" em livros de Agualusa mas ela com a vantagem de já ter lido estas crónicas.

As usually with José Eduardo Agualusa, this book is written with an excellent technique and here and there has magnificent bits. What somehow made me love it less than others by the same Author, was the almost palpable resentment it transmits in some of its chronicles. There is, especially relating to Portugal, a sort of mute anger which surprised me a lot.
