The most helpful parts of this book are the resources add to the front by Wanda Sanseri, author of Spell to Write and Read. The original primer reading texts are often too challenging for beginning readers and too boring.

his book is a reminder of how fare we have fallen as a country in the education of the next generation. We have used this book as a supplement to our kids reading program. It shows that despite the lack of modern technology and modern education principles, the citizens of this country back in the 1700's had a good firm grasp on the proper education of the next generation. Even if you're not buying this for the kids in your home, it's still a good historical book to add to your collection.
