So much potential for this to be amazing. Yet it wasn’t. The art seemed to get worse as it went along and the story just fizzled. Oh and GR defeated the big bad by knocking his “teef” out with caretakers shovel?!? Laughable.

Also, where tf in the timeline does this even occur? I struggled to figure that part out but maybe I missed something.

3 stars is a helluva gift and probably just bias towards my love for the character. 2 stars would probably be more fitting. Let’s say 2.5 rounded up 😂

This is not my favourite Ghost Rider story. I actually like the run with Dan as Ghost Rider (this series is set towards the end of the 90s series). I would have given it 2.5 stars, but the artwork took it up to 3 stars for me.

Dan Ketch is questioning his role/life as the Ghost Rider and everything it has cost him. Suddenly, a number of second-rate gangsters are gaining supernatural powers that only the Ghost Rider can stop. However, is the entity behind these upgrades targeting the Ghost Rider himself?

It was a very rushed story. The fights between were pretty one-sided thrn they were over. I'm not sure what the point story was. It really did not add anything to the old series and nothing to the current series. A lot of people probably git thus out of nostalgia gor me this was the era I started collecting Ghost Rider comics. Unfortunately, I don't think it was worth the trip down memory lane. The book finishes with a varient cover gallery and sketchbook.

Always love a good Ghost Rider story! This one seems like it is in the past, not reflective of the recent events of the main title, but still good.
Both Dan Ketch and Johnny Blaze (who is not a GR in this comic) go up against Scarecrow, Blackout, and a horribly altered Morlock calling himself The Master. Good action, great pacing, decent story and art.
Would love to see Marvel showing love to Ghost Rider more.
Recommend.

Pudiendo otorgar nuevas habilidades a diferentes individuos.

I was really looking forward to this. Danny Ketch was MY Ghost Rider. Just like Wally West was MY Flash and Tim Drake was MY Robin. When I first learned about buying comics at comic book shops instead of gas stations, the Mackie run of Ghost Rider had just started and it was one of THE top books every month. I highly enjoyed it and I highly enjoyed this as well. Nostalgia is one of the reasons for the higher score and I don't know if people who weren't around to experience this early 90's boom and Ghost Rider phenomenon would get it, but it's not the only reason. The book is fun to read and we get to find out about a mystery I've wondered about for years. The art even has a retro 90's feel to it. The new Broker does have a very similar feel to Gaslamp from SA, but the magical and spiritual domains will have plenty of characters that deal in power and souls so I don't mind. Overall I recommend this title if your a Ghost Rider fan otherwise you might want to pass on this mini-series.

If you're a fan of the early 1990's Ghost Rider series, then this is for you...

As a whole, it's hard to keep track of all the Ghost Rider continuity ins and outs. This is the Danny Ketch version that Howard Mackie, himself wrote. Easy to see that he's going to write what he remembers fondly. Blackout and Scarecrow are both mainstays of the 90s run.

This doesn't have any connection to whats gone down in the current series, BUT Mackie has added a flaw to the Ketch Ghost Rider that nobody has exploited....yet.

Bonus: The different timelines and mythologies of all the Ghost Rider series will give you whiplash.

Howard Mackie returns to his roots and Danny Ketch/Ghost Rider in all its 90s glory. Sadly, its not very glorious. This is mostly ridiculous nonsense and will not be revisited any time soon. Danny Ketch and Johnny Blaze are indistinguishable as personalities and its tedious. The antagonists are incredibly lame and completely forgettable. The art is decent though especially Ghost Rider. Overall, nothing here unless you're a completists.

It was nice to see the writer of the 90's Ghost Rider, Howard Mackie, back in the saddle again. The story is fine, but nothing special or of impact like all of these other Marvel flashback series. I wasn't familiar with Daniel Picciotto on art but he was very solid. Better than a lot of more established artists these days.

100% mediocre.

But as someone who thinks of the 90's Ghost Rider as "my Ghost Rider" it was fun to see him in a story as well as some of his villains.
