New Adult Paranormal Romance by Kristie Cook ** Mature Content ** Recommended for ages 16+ due to sexual situations and language
Third installment of the bestselling, award-winning Soul Savers Series
When secrets and betrayals abound, where will her devotion lie?
With powerful abilities gained from the Ang'dora and Tristan back by her side, Alexis thinks she's ready for the next challenge-- protecting her son from what appears to be the inevitable. But she has so much to learn about her powers, her new world and the people in it. Nothing is what it seems to be on the surface, including the Amadis.
Power-hungry politicians comprise the council and make impossible demands. A traitor lurks among them all, inciting trouble that could destroy the Amadis and, ultimately, humanity. The Daemoni wreak havoc in the human world, with the ultimatum that they'll continue attacking innocents until Alexis and Tristan are expelled from the Amadis' protection. The couple's own society begins to shut them out. But that's not all.
Someone's keeping a secret. A big one. Faith and hope in Alexis and Tristan will be restored if she can uncover the truth in time.
But the search for answers leads only to the discovery of more betrayals by those closest to Alexis. Her devotion is put to the test--devotion to her husband, to her family, to her people and to her beliefs--leaving her to question whom she's fighting for and why she should even bother. But if she won't fight . . . who will?

Firstly, just look at the gorgeous cover. Amazing work from Author Brenda Pandos. I want to give a huge THANK YOU to Kristie Cook for giving me the opportunity to review Devotion. After reading Promise, Purpose & Genesis I was dying to dive straight back into this mind blowing world Kristie has created....
One word.. PHENOMENAL!! I have to admit I'm so in love with this series, with some series after the first book they start to go down hill. But with the Soul Savers series, each book always brings a new and spin-tingling adventure. Devotion has hit the ball right out of the park!
Kristie knows how to capture her audience and keep them hanging on her every word to the very end. Her writing style is truly astounding, with her words you can picture in your minds eye everything that's happening, the detail and descriptions make you feel like you actually there standing along side the characters.
This book has everything..ultimate betrayal, heart pounding excitment, toe curling romance, heart wrenching sadness (tissues may be required, *sniffles* lol), all of it sums up to be a full mind blower. The other thing I love about these books is that even when you finish the last page and close the book, your mind is still buzzing from what you've read. Even when you lay down to sleep, it crawls back into your mind and your on the adventure all over again.
I seriously just couldn't put this book down, my kindle went with me everywhere. Even sitting in the doctor's office waiting my turn I was devouring this book. If you haven't read this series I recommend you do so...RIGHT NOW!!! Go get swept up like I did.
I can't WAIT for book 4, cause if it's anything like this one I may be left simply speechless! ;)
HOLY MOTHER OF BOOK GODS! There was so much going on in this book my head is still spinning. Not to mention the fact that I'm IN this book...Don't look at me like I'm crazy. I AM! I swear. Read it and see!! :)
-------- Review: Ah, and the epicness continues! If you haven't read the first 2 books in this series, run and do that! Then come back and read this review. :) This series continues to amaze me. I'm not sure how Kristie keeps up with it all because this series creates such a complex world. The characters, the history, the action -- all written with amazing clarity and creativity.
In Devotion, Tristan returns to us! Er, I mean Alexis. They have a moment to be a family and to be happy at last. But that time is brief. Alexis is going through a wide range of emotions. She is dealing with a new power that she isn't able to completely control, and there is a possibility that someone close to her could be betraying her. As she struggles to deal with the person she is now, and the good and bad of having her husband by her side, she discovers more about the Amadis and what could happen to her family. The last thing she wants is for them to be ripped apart again so she fights with everything she can in order to stop what most see as inevitable.
Devotion brings in a lot more characters (I'M ONE OF THEM!). Most of them are political-types who are not open to change within their rules. Then there are a few that are just insanely hot and awesome (ME! Or, at least the fictional me that is insanely hot and awesome). There is a lot of back and forth struggle and Alexis is in the middle of it all. One thing I love about this series is that Alexis truly takes the lead. Tristan is there, but he's more of a support for her. Alexis is the one with the power (as it should be!) and she is the glue holding everything together. Another great thing about this book was that it isn't all sunshine and roses for Alexis and Tristan once they are together. They argue and struggle with how to settle into married life.
And I can't review this book without mentioning Owen. (Did I mention that I get to interact with Owen..yes, me, the character, in the book, with my friend Lisa...). Poor Owen has a lot to deal with in Devotion. I'm begging Kristie for a spin-off with him and his favorite faeries (me and Lisa!).
The Soul Savers series grabs you and refuses to let go! I guarantee a few sleepless nights, racing hearts, and inappropriate fantasies while reading these books. This is the perfect series for paranormal fans who want to plunge into a world featuring a struggle between good and evil, an insanely strong heroine, and a plot that will keep you guessing.
Recommended: Adult readers. Anyone who loves paranormal and a really smokin' hot romance.
An excellent continuous on from book 2.. Twists and turns , a whirlwind of betrayl, action, love, devotion, mystery and lots of gob smacking excitment, you may even shed a tear or two so have the tissues handy.
Book three is the best by far, I know your thinking normally they go down hill after a few books but to no avail this did not !! It was amazing and filled to the brim with everything one could want and more !
Kristie Has woven her magic in this story, pulling the reader into evey page, with great descriptions that will fasinate you and glide us along right till the very end. !! Your reader will be in a frenzy, and I can guarantee you will have this finished in record breaking time !!
Devotion will capture and pique your attention with the wonderful writing, well detailed and intriguing storyline and descriptions that Im you can easily envisage and feel. Chapters that run smoothly, characters you will certainly interact with, and smooth flowing dialogue and storyline that makes it a wonderful read..
Its Filled with action packed scenes that will not only drag you into every page but have you left thinking about it way after this story had ended... Characters you can relate to, and a love story and , devotion that will have you tangled in its web. Yes you will be glued to this story way past the last page has been read.
Book three is even better then the first two books, you ask how is this so ! and I can tell you it is.. Moments where you will be sniffing, grabbing that tissue and other moments where you friskly reading to find out more !!
Devotion is definelty worth the read, but do make sure you read the first two in the series first. I eagerly await book four ! Im sure Kristie has alot more in store for us readers !
This book was about 2 chapters worth of writing, too long. It frustrated me to a degree that almost made me stop reading. I pegged the main bad guy from jump (although he wasn't REALLY the bad guy) & the person who was, unknowingly, in cahoots would still have gotten the boot from me for being so stupid & for further being a PITA, afterwards. Of course afterwards for her would've never come.
They separated Alexis & Tristan again. I was like (this is Amazon too so I can't say what I would just say on Goodreads) GTFOH! It was a good story but those parts made it a tedious read.
Kristie gave me the incredible privilege of a sneak peek of Devotion. *swoon* She's done it yet again... written a page-turner that's exciting, heart wrenching, sweet, mysterious and oh, so, sexy. Tristan and Lexy are together again--finally. But their love is about to be tested in every way again. There's a traitor among the Amadis and it's going to take faith and trust to decipher the lies and reveal the truth.
I can't wait for you to see find out what happens!
4.5 stars. I couldn't give this 5 stars, only because the first 1/2 was very slow. However, the last 3/4 of the book was amazing,,, and I really wish the entire book had that fire! Not my favorite of the series, but once the author got to the action, it was great, shocking, twisty, heart wrenching and fun! I'll try to write a more coherent review later.
After I turned the last page of Purpose, which was the second book in the Soul Savers series, I could not wait to start reading Devotion! When I finally got it I read it in one sitting. Now, after finishing Devotion, I can’t wait till next book!
Devotion, written by Kristie Cook, was very good reading from the first page until the last one. Somehow Kristie has managed something that many authors lack – she is capable of turning each book in series into more intriguing experience and constantly surprises you. I loved that about Devotion!
Regarding the plot:
As said, there were many unpredicted turns in Devotion. Devotion picks up exactly where Purpose ended. Alexis and Tristan are visiting Amadis, but Amadis is getting more and more anxious about Alexis not having a daughter with Tristan and it creates disorder in Amadis’ council. Rina is asking Alexis to listen to council members’ minds to find out who is behind the weird behavior of council members.
Alexis tries hard, but does not succeed for a while, until she hears about a girl. After that so many things start to happen. Alexis is determined to find the girl even though none believes her. The only person standing behind Alexis is Tristan. Tristan stands by her even nobody wants to see these two together and even he has his doubts what is right thing to do.
Before you know, you find yourself in Australia, where Alexis and Tristan are escaping barely staying alive from another attack from the Daemoni. Nobody wants to help them because Amadis is sure that Alexis should not be with Tristan. Council turns against Tristan and after returning to Amadis, he is set for trial of betraying the Amadis.
Did I see that coming? No.
Did I see that coming who is the girl? No
Did I see that coming who is Tristan’s mother? No
Did I see that coming who was the person who influenced the council? No.
Devotion takes all your knowledge what you think might happen and turns it around. It surprises you. It is unpredictable and very interesting and fascinating! Brilliant development of the story!
Regarding the characters:
I loved Alexis in Devotion! So strong to her beliefs, so persistent of finding what she searches, so true to her love! I loved when she said: If he goes, I go! Kristie did absolutely wonderful job with Alexis in Devotion. The same goes for Tristan. He was willing to give up the dearest of them all, to show his love. Even though I do not understand such a sacrifice, I admired him for that. The relationship between Alexis and Tristan is stronger than ever.
Dorian was adorable. The relationship he developed with his father was so sweet and lovable. The way Dorian cared for her mother made my heart skip couple of beats – it was so beautiful when Dorian told her mom that he did not want mom to be like she was when Tristan was away. It almost broke my heart. I really hope that Dorian will not be part of the Daemoni and can take over the rule of Amadis. His heart simply belongs to the good ones!
There were some new characters brought in and out of the new characters my favorite was Char – Owen’s mother.
Generally:
Devotion was great sequel to Promise and Purpose and honestly, I was sorry when I finished reading Devotion’s last page. I was so sure that Devotion is the last book in the series, but I found out, that it is not. And I am glad for that, because the way Alexis and Tristan’s path developed in Devotion was so well-written and captivating that I am happy I can spend some time in their world when the next book is out.
When I really enjoyed both Promise and Purpose, then Devotion took me to a different level of reading – it was intense, unpredictable, quick-paced, and dramatic and filled with action. It should be a must read for all fans of paranormal romance!
Kristie Cook quickly became one of my favorite authors with her Soul Savers' first installment, Promise, and after her sequel, Purpose came out quickly on it's heels I couldn't have turned back if I wanted to. I knew without a doubt that this third installment in the series would be wonderful, exciting and just as magical as the previous two, but I still feel like I didn't give it enough credit ahead of time. Every time I think an author couldn't possibly surpass their previous great works, I should be ashamed. Cook obviously has plenty more in the tank and hopefully that won't change in the near future. Her writing is too hard to resist, and who would even want to really?
Alexis and Tristan have already been through so much, but it seems that Cook is not the type of author to be content to leave her characters in romantic bliss. While the idea of Alexis, Tristan, and now their son Dorian living happily ever may have a nice ring to it, Cook seems to still want them to work a little harder for their much deserved happy ending. A shocking turn of events leaves Alexis and Tristan on their own so to speak. They still have some friends they can count on, but their numbers have certainly dwindled when it comes to who they can trust and who they have suspicions towards. Every time I went to write this review I ended up backtracking and editing, because I didn't want even a chance of one spoiler to leak through onto these pages. It's tough, but I know how intense and exciting each and every turn of the page was for me, and no reader deserves any less.
Bottom line, if you thought these two love birds had been through their obstacles before and proved that nothing could possibly threaten their peace of mind and the world they envisioned for their family, you can think again. Not even the Amadis could be counted on this time around to have all the answers and backup necessary to defeat their current foe(s). Cook's once again penned a very exciting roller coaster ride for her readers, and when I saw she'll put you through the ringer of all emotions, I'm not being dramatic. I laughed, cried and cringed on more than one occasion and can only hope that Cook puts us all out of our misery soon and gives me a series wrap up that I imagine for these wonderful characters. But at the same time, while I do want that, I also can't imagine this series coming to an end...I so don't want to think about that right now!
So check out this third installment and if you haven't come across Cook's work before, go pick up all three books in her Soul Savers series, you'll be doing yourself a very big favor!
First of all, I just want to say, WOW!! Kristie Cook has done it again! I am so in love with the Soul Savers series, and it's become one of my favorite series ever. Kristie's writing is so smooth and seamless as you go from one book to the next--even when you take a break and read Genesis it's as if you're reading the Amadis history along with Alexis.
Devotion delves deeper into the politics of the Amadis society. Alexis believed them all to be good to the core, but what she finds is a bunch of politicians vying for power. And when she finds out about all the lies, secrets, and betrayals, there is no way Alexis will swear her loyalty and devotion to them. Not to mention that they seem to be doing everything in their power to separate her from Tristan.
As the secrets and betrayals are revealed, Alexis' devotion to not only the Amadis, but her family and even Tristan is tested. She'll need to trust herself and her power to find what is truth and what is deception.
It's amazing that after everything Alexis and Tristan have been through that they can come out of it even stronger than they were before. Most people would have been completely destroyed if they went through what these two did. No matter what's being thrown at them, or what direction they're pulled in, Alexis and Tristan's love and loyalty never break. It's may be shaken, it may waver, but it never breaks. Alexis really is the fierce protector, and Tristan the ultimate warrior. They still have many tests and battles ahead of them, but they'll be fine as long as they stick together.
Devotion's plot is pretty heavy and serious for most of the book, but Kristie gives us a great reprieve in a hilarious encounter Alexis has with a kangaroo. That's all I'll say about that so I don't spoil it, but I thought it was so funny that I was laughing about it well after I was finished reading Devotion.
Kristie is a truly amazing and inspiring writer. She's created memorable and lovable characters, a captivating world, and a story you can't help but fall in love with. Devotion will leave you desperately wanting more.
I will have to say that this book was the best out of the series. The beginning was a little bit boring but never slowed down the pace and when I got to the middle I couldn’t put it down. It was sort of a mystery what was going to happen and I just needed to know the truth. It starts off with everyone on the island and they are there because they need to be kept safe. The Daemoni are attacking and by being on the island is their only protection. Alexis is shown a family tree. In the Amadis Family Tree it shows that all the woman are Royalty but all the men are converted over to the Daemoni. Alexis fears for her son Dorian’s life because she doesn’t want him to be taken away. Every time an Amadis woman gives birth they are always twins. Alexis only gave birth to one son. Throughout the entire book, Alexis has this thought that the council members are keeping a secret from her. She feels that they have stolen her daughter. She goes through everything to find out the truth. She also wants to figure out which council member is betraying them since Queen Katarina told her to find out by reading their minds. Some of the council members are supportive of Alexis and Tristan’s relationship but others are against it, saying that Tristan is still part of the Daemoni. They want Alexis to be paired with Owen.
Alexis struggles throughout the entire book to open up her mind shield so she can read everyone’s minds easier but she can’t seem to do it because the first time she opened up her mind shield was during sex and everyone experienced he orgasm with her and she couldn’t bear to go through that again. Her barrier becomes strong as stone and even she can’t remove it. But once it comes down to using to help her family, she finally succeeds.
There is a hearing at the end of the book which I found to be the best part. More than one truth comes out. When the book was finished, I needed more. There are so many lose ends to count. I looked for a fourth book but couldn’t find anything. There better be more or else I will be angry.
My Thoughts: Kristie Cook does it AGAIN! The Soul Saver series, beginning with Promise and also including Genesis, and Purpose has all been leading up to this....Devotion.
Tristan's back! Now we know I have a serious thing for Tristan, and Devotion gives my greedy self as much Tristan as I can handle. Yes, yes, Alexis is there too..... I think. Kidding!
The couple is together again, having narrowly escaped a psycho vampire attack, and now the most important thing in their world is to figure out how to save their young son from going to the dark side aka the Daemoni. His parents' fervent hope is that given their unique circumstances, he will overcome the generational legacy, while the Amadis is still pressuring them for another child, and Alexis' Daemoni overlord of a sperm donor hovers around like the proverbial sword over their necks. There is ever a present aura of betrayal and danger...and no one can prepare from which direction it comes from.
There are so many twists and turns and plot OMG's, I was popping antacids like it was actually happening to me. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Kristie Cook is a master of suspense. Most series would have gotten old hat and predictable by book three but Devotion keeps you guessing and wanting more. I hope Ms. Cook knows I will be pouting until book 4! Then for book 5. And then for...well you get the picture.
I'd also like to note here that her writing is flawless. I don't know if she's got great editors or betas, or if she instinctively writes so well, but it's a joy to read her books and not get hung up on insignificant (yet always annoying!) typos or plot snags that don't jive with previously written material. Devotion
In Devotion Tristan and Alexis once again go through so much more than I could have imagined. Alexis and Dorian have finally been reunited with Tristan and starting to live life and a normal family. Well as normal of a family that you can in their situation. Before you know it they are running for their lives from the Deamoni again. It seems like no matter where they go they Deamoni are lying in wait for them. But finally they find a place where they can once again start to live life like they deserve when it is all screwed up again. During Alexis’s stay on the Amadis Island she learned something about a little girl being hid somewhere, but nothing else. With the Amadis pressuring her and Tristan about the next Amadis leader, Alexis starts to think that the girl is in relation to her. Well they finally found the girl in the marshes and then the story takes a turn for the worse. Tristan is blamed for being a traitor (which we all knew was coming). But all the while the traitor was lying in wait to be revealed.
Holy Hell Kristie has done it again! Devotion had me hooked from page one all the way until the end. I really wish that I had more to read in the story of Tristan, Alexis, and Dorian RIGHT now but I don’t so I will have to wait lol. Poor Alexis, Tristan, and Dorian! They go through so much in this novel that pushes their relationships to the brink of disaster. But in the end the three manage to pull through all the hardships with their love still intact. But it’s not the end of the line by all means (at least it better not be). Alexis, Tristan, and Dorian have a very long road ahead of them and I personally cannot wait to see how their lives turn out.
If you have not read these books yet, you seriously need to drop what you are doing and them up ASAP! You will not regret it at all!
Nothing and no one is safe from corruption and discord, not even the Angel’s Council or the perfect couple. Alexis finally gets to see the Amadis Council in action and the harsh truth that nothing is sacred or as it seems takes a devastating toll in the most fast-paced, action-packed Soul Savers novel yet!
I absolutely loved Devotion. The Soul Savers novels just keep getting better and I never wanted to put this one down. The stakes are higher, the conflict is greater, and every single relationship, be it friendship, romantic, or business, is at risk of unraveling. Tristan and Alexis’s relationship is tested to its limits and the devotion and strength shown by both is amazing. And little Dorian is coming into his own as well. We finally get a glimpse at the dynamics among the Amadis within the council, towns and colonies, and even a coven and a werewolf pack! While people and groups fall apart and fight one another, tons of fabulous new characters, big and small, are introduced. Some mysteries are solved while others are revealed, maybe the biggest secret of all, and the devotion of everyone is tested to the max.
Is there a breaking point even for the angelic Amadis? Find out in the best Soul Savers novel yet, Devotion! **Thank you to Kristie for providing the E-ARC for this review.
I'm a huge fan of the Soul Savers series, it's not often you find a series that captures your imagination so completely. I fell head over heels for the main characters, Tristan and Alexis in the first book of the series, Promise and that was it for me... I was hooked. I have laughed and cried along with them ever since.
What I have found incredibly wonderful about Devotion (and the series in general) is that what started off as what I thought would be purely a love story, has evolved into an exhilarating adventure as well. In Devotion... sh!t gets real! Like really real! There's intrigue, betrayal, love and loss. This story has it all and I am loving it!
So if you're new to Kristie's work and love a good paranormal story, I can not recommend the Soul Savers series highly enough. Personally I recommend starting with Promise & Purpose, then take a history lesson with the prequel, Genesis and then dive into Devotion. This series gets better with every book!
If you're up to date with your Soul Savers reading then you will not be disappointed with Devotion! I loved Promise & Purpose but the story development in Devotion is FANTASTIC!!!!! I can not wait to see where this story is going :)
Devotion…Alexis’ devotion to her family and to the Amadis is fanominal.
Promise was like striking a match. Purpose was igniting the wick. Devotion is the explosion.
The Soul Saviors series just keeps getting better and better. Alexis is in training..trying to master her skills and powers to fight the evil that threatens the human race. However, as her abilities increase, she is aware that something is amiss. She learns things that make her doubt the council of the Amadis. She is also trying to find a way to protect Dorian who is destined to take the wrong path. Is there a reason there was only a boy born and not the traditional girl to rule the Amadis?
As Alexis and Tristan leave the Island to protect the Amadis people, they are attacked at every turn. They are scoring the states trying to find a place that is safe enough to raise Dorian. In their travels, they will meet allies that will help them when they least expect. They are searching for the Truth. But will they find that truth and the Traitor within the council to protect the Amadis way?
Devotion is a white knuckled read that will keep you up all night because you WILL not be able to put it down. I have fallen head over heels for this series. The characters are
After reading Promise, I became a big fan of this series. Promise hooked me and from then on I've been waiting with bated breath for each book in the series to be released. The characters are the kind that stick in your heart and mind like barbed wire and don't let go. I would think about them days after reading the books like they are real people. The characters of Alexis and Tristan have already been through so much that by the time you get to Devotion you are so happy they are together again and just want things to calm down for them and see them be able to relax, but Kristie isn't about to let that happen! The path that Alexis and Tristan are on is far from its end and they still have many twists and turns ahead of them. In Devotion, there is a traitor amongst them and Alexis and Tristan's love is going to be tested yet again. I cried SO MUCH when I read Promise, that I was prepared with tissues within my reach when I started Purpose. Kristie's writing makes you feel the characters' emotions as if they are your own. Each book is fast-paced, action-packed and a fast-moving read with the right amount of romance and steamy goodness!
*An adult series with some language and sexual content.
I had the opportunity to review the long awaited third installation in the Soul Savers series (okay long awaited for me because I am impatient). Devotion in hands down my favorite book so far in the series. Now don't get me wrong the whole series is REALLY good but this one is my favorite.
Alexis, Tristan (swoon), and little Dorian are all together now. Which I defiantly love. But someone among the the Amadis is out to destroy them. Through out the book I kept trying to guess who it could it and I was wrong with each one. There are lies, deception, action, twist, turns, and a funny intimate scene that will keep you reading.
My favorite part out of the whole book is the reaction everyone had when they learned what Dorian could due; including Dorian's reaction. (You will have to read the book to find out)
With each book that Kristie puts out I end up liking it better than the last. She has proven that she is a strong writer with a lot of imagination that is here to stay. I can not wait for the next installment.
Omg, I seriously Love this series!!! With Tristan and Alexis back together their battles continue but nothing can keep them apart or so they thought. In this installment it seems more people then not are putting pressure on them. When Alexis starts hearing a strangers thoughts and cant figure out who it is everything seems to spiral out of control. The Amadis are under constant attack so they decided to sneak off of Amadis Island to find a girl the mysterious voice talks about, but no one believes exists. When Sophia( Alexis Mom) shows up at her house and says that Amadis island is out of control and the queen( Sophia's grandma) is not herself, they intensify the search and that's when everything goes from bad to worse. There is a traitor in the Amadis island that is brain washing everyone against Tristan and he royal family and it is up to Alexis to find them and restore order. This story keeps you on the edge of yours seat and you just have to find out what happens next. I cant wait for the next one!
I started Devotion in February. It is now March. It didn't take me a month to read the book. I took the month. I didn't want to miss a thing with Kristie's third book. And I am sooo glad I took a month to read it. This book made me laugh, cry, get mad, feel sorry for people, and shake my head in awe. Kristie has made her books feel like when you are reading them you are actually there with Tristan and Alexis. I love how much Alexis has changed, but how she hasn't and how the book tested Tristan and Alexis's loyalty to each other, and how they fought to be together. I loved everything about this book. I can honestly say the Soul Savers Series will be books that I read over and over and over again. I have never read any other books that make me get lost in another world that I can't seem to get out of. Thank you Kristie for another AMAZING and WONDERFUL book!!!!!
I love this series. I really do. I mean what more could you want in a fantasy based series. You have Tristan (and he is super yummy), Alexis, Dorian and the others. You get an action packed adventure with guys in leather, girls in leather, motorcycles, fighting, and dare I say a traitor. What more could you want?
Nothing. I didn't want anything more. The only reason I gave this book a 4 rather than a 5 is because there were some parts where Alexis annoyed the hell out of me and I had to walk away from the book. Oh, the book still pulled me in, but I did have to put it down a few times due to her sometimes lack of self confidence.
Anyway, if you want a fun fantasy read, this is your book. Kudos to Kristie for keeping up such a fantastic series.
I was lucky enough to get a sneak peak of this fantastic new book by Kristie and wow am I glad I did! My thoughts:
"Devotion had just the right amount of intrigue, mystery, and pulse-pounding action to keep me eating up the pages. All my favorite characters are back and there are a few new ones I fell in love with. The rich world building and deep emotional connection between the characters makes this edition to the series a must read." ~Heather McCorkle, author of The Secret Of Spruce Knoll.
Oh my god, oh my god! Wow! What a roller coaster! There was never a dull moment in this third installment of the Soul Savers series. New secrets are revealed and the trust we had put in certain characters was questioned up until the very end. Poor Alexis was really tested in this one, but as always, she kicked some major butt!
This series just keeps getting better and better! I can't wait til the fourth book! And Tristan may have something to do with that ;)
This was a great book in this series. I was thinking it was the last book in the series, but now I get to look forward to at least one more book. In this book Alexis learns to trust in herself, and to figure out where truth lies, and who among them is a betrayer. It was exciting until the end with just enough romance that wasn't overdone. Can't wait for book 4 so more questions can be answered. I recommend to all my adult friends.
I need to come up with a word that goes beyond loved to describe this book. I though the first two books (and prequel) were wonderful but this one blew them all out of the water. It is amazing to see all the threads that have been weaved through the other books in this series to create the perfection that is Devotion. I loved Alexis and Tristan's relationship in this book as well. This is a compelling in the Soul Savers series. Bring on book four! Write fast Kristie!
Devotion is the third addition to the Soul Savers series by Kristie Cook, and I have to admit that I had a really hard time getting into this book. I just couldn't form a connection to the first half of the story, but the second half of this book really pulled me in. Kristie took me on so many twists and turns that I was kept on the edge of my seat. . . .
Wow...wow...wow. This was an excellent book. It's been a few months since I read a book that deserved a 5.star rating. I loved how Tristian and Alexis became stronger. I can't wait to read more in the series. I cried at parts and laughed, and even got angry at how the council were treating Alexis and Tristian.
The third book of the soul saver series was a very good addition to this great series. I liked getting to see Alexis get used to her new powers and see more of the Amadis. There were many different settings for Tristan and Alexis in this book. It was interesting to see the author describe all of the different places. I can't wait to read the next book and see what happens next.
Kristie has done it again. emersing you in a world where you fall in love with each character. you laugh with them and your cry with them. you can not ask for a better writer she makes sure you feel eveything just as the characters do. she keeps you guessing with this knew and wanting more at the end. truly a fantastic book I can't wait for the next installment
Loved it! Kristie continues to weave the web of the Amadis and what a tangled web she has created. We get to learn quite a bit more about our favorite characters, and also meet some new players that bring exciting new twists to the story. I don't want to spoil things...but I already can't wait for the follow up to find out about Alexis and her next adventure.
This series just keeps getting better and better! I adore Alexia and Tristan! The series is full of sweet and sexy moments. The way the author evolves the characters into different people as the story continues, makes it so interesting. This edition is another five glittery star series I can't wait to continue!
