Angel Cake invites all her friends to help her bake a cake, and when they all have different ideas about what kind of cake to make she comes up with a solution that will please everyone.
Scratch-and-sniff books will always be short-lived, since the scents get used up so quickly and immediately, especially when younger readers get involved. Sadly, I can't judge the scents on this VERY USED copy, but if they're like others I've scratched and sniffed, they're pretty standard.
The story is mostly unaffected by the scratch-and-sniff areas—it actually took me a second to see where they even were! The main thing I don't like is for some reason the typeface for the story just slightly hurts my eyes. I compared with a couple of other books to make sure it wasn't just that my eyes hurt in general; it does seem to be a combination of the specific typeface and the reflective coating on the pages. It's also a little confusing that all of the characters are human EXCEPT Honey Pie Pony, who is... a talking pony, where before the animals would only talk (English) to each other, if at all.
On the whole, a nice wholesome story about friends coming together and making a cake (and juice) together!
Well, the scratch-and-sniff sucks--it doesn't work. And it annoys me every time they say "berry" instead of "very". But basically this is a cute story of how they all work together to make a cake.
A really cute story where are the Strawberry Shortcake characters come together and use their favorite ingredients to bake a special cake. Scratch and Sniff Book
