So cute! Especially the ending :)

Throughout this book with every line I read all I could see was the film version of Alice In Wonderland running through my head. This version of the classic tale matched the Disney smash-hit film to a T. I am so glad that I picked this up and gave it a try. Just like the film, I was rooting for Alice and the Mad Hatter, especially with the ending. I have got the next one, Alice Through The Looking Glass, ready and waiting but I might leave a bit of time before I start it. Plus I think I kind of ...more

This version of Alice in Wonderland was written based off the screenplay written by Linda Wolverton on the film directed by Tim Burton’s remake of the original story. There were somewhat of mixed reviews on this film. First off, the movie did fantastic, being Tim Burton’s highest grossing film receiving a total of 1.2 billion worldwide. The film did so well that it became the inspiration to Walt Disney Pictures revision of some of their classic animated tales transpiring into live-action films. ...more

This remade of the Alice's classic story was a really nice read.
It was awesome to travel to this 'Wonderland' and watch it through Alice's eyes. Everytime some new character was presented I thought 'wow, this is my favourite'. From the Mad Hatter, to the March Hare, the Dormouse, the Cheshire Cat or Absolem... it's impossible to don't be amused by them (even the Queen of Hearts!).
I really enjoyed to 'live this dream' with Alice and her friends. I think this book gives us a really important messa

I Love this book so much. This is probably my favorite story. This story is about a girl named Alice who falls down down down the rabbit hole. And she is awaken in this new world, wonderland. When she is in wonderland she meets many new people. Like the mad hatter who ends up being a good friend. The cheshire cat, Alice has a love hate relationship with him. The Queen of Hearts, who tries to kill Alice not once but several times. And then there is the caterpillar who pushes Alice to become her t ...more

Because I love 'Alice in Wonderland' by Lewis Carroll and since Tim Burton's 'Alice in Wonderland' is coming out soon, I couldn't resist buying this book. I had hoped it would be very entertaining, and I was right. It is much different than Lewis Carroll's version. It is original and exciting. I don't want to give away details, it might ruin it for anyone who wants to read it. I will say this though...if you are on the fence about reading it, go for it. I did and was not disappointed. I loved this book almost as much as the film.
Even tho I watched the film first I still managed to create my own images for all the characters and in my mind they were darker.
I found that the book give the story of the film that little more depth and more time to get to know the characters and follow there devolpments with each other better.
I also got a better idea of the dark world of underland and again found it easy to picture how I tought it was.

This book was the perfect companion to the film
A very fun & quick read!
I'm a big fan of the original story by Lewis Carroll, the Disney childrens movie and the Tim Burton movie so this was perfect for me!
It's pretty much the same story as the Tim Burton movie, so if you liked that and are in the mood for that story I would recommend reading this book. (but if you didn’t like that movie (and/or the original Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland) you might want to skip it..)

This was a wonderful book. I am very excited about the movie and if the movie is anything like the book (which it more than likely will be) is going to be awesome. All the characters were fantastical but human enough you felt for them and you connected with them. I really enjoyed learning more of the back story to some of the wonderlands characters.

My father-in-law quotes this book regularly, so I had to re-read it to know when.

We will read this aloud to my son when he's just a bit older. It's fun. I can't stop thinking of Helena Bonham Carter as the Queen. She was well cast.

This book was ok, but it wasn't as great as I was hoping. I enjoyed reading it though, and it was a pretty easy read. The story was interesting and fun, but it ended pretty abruptly. I'm sure anyone that enjoyed the Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland movie would enjoy this book and enjoy getting to read this book as it was the book version of the movie.

When i finished reading this book, I was amazed. It was a really good book. I would never forget it. If you want to know more about the book before reading it, then here's a summary i found on the internet.

It is the story of a young girl named Alice. As she is sitting on the riverbank of the Thames, she sees a white rabbit with a waistcoat that is talking to itself, pass by. Alice follows it out of curiosity until she enters a rabbit-hole and starts falling down slowly. When the little girl even

Alice in Wonderland is a brilliant fantasy, full of odd creatures, an evil queen, a good queen, a prophecy, and almost every other strange thing you can imagine. This masterpiece was originally a Disney movie, but the book was adapted by Tui T. Sutherland and based off of the novels by Lewis Carroll. Alice and Wonderland is a classic story that has been told for many generations.

The story begins in 1855 London, England. The main character, Alice, is a nine year old girl at this point. She has u
Based on the 2010 movie of the same name, these further adventures of poor Alice revolve around the inevitable restrictions of getting older. The 19-year-old Alice is not quite the same as she was when she was a little girl. Something of her rebellious spirit remains but she is beset by the confusions and hesitations of growing up among people with their own limited and limiting expectations of her.

The characters in this world (called Underland) are as biting, satirical and mad as their origina

Alice is sitting quietly reading her book, when she sees a white rabbit running past her crying, “I’m late, I’m late”. Alice is curious about the rabbit so she decides to follow him and ends up falling down the rabbit hole, which takes her in to a hall of doors, which leads her through a number of places, such as a beach, a forest, and a tea party where she eventually finds the rabbit. Alice later meets the Queen of Hearts, who she butts heads with. Alice eventually finds herself waking up in th ...more

One day at a party in London, Alice saw a white rabbit and followed it until she fell down a rabbit’s hole. When Alice found the white rabbit the rabbit said that she must slay a creature called the Jabberwocky and defeat the Red Queen. Alice met the Chesire Cat, who showed her the way to the Mad Hatter. Then all of a sudden the Knave of Hearts captured the Mad Hatter. Now Alice has to rescue the Mad Hatter, slay the Jabberwocky, and defeat the red queen. I like Alice because she’s a free-spirit ...more

This unassuming book is a very quick read; I completed it in under two hours. I’d call it middle grade fantasy if I were required to categorize it, and it is in no way an adaptation of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Although as Alice falls down the rabbit hole, it uses the Lewis Carroll novel to set the time and place of the story and as a launching point to bring the reader into a re-imagined Wonderland. The story has a cinematic quality to it,as well as that Disney-esque feel to the edges - ...more

I loved this book, and has been one of my all time favorite books and have read it bout 9 times. I loved the way the classic story is still incorporated in it but is given a slightly more modern twist. I believe it is well written especially seeing as it is a book of the movie.

It is a fantastic fantasy read. I love the way it feels like i'm fully in wonderland and being part of her adventure. I love the way Alice is a dominant female character and I believe we need some more strong female role m

This book is more like the movie with Johnny Depp. Alice is about 19 and goes back to wonderland running away from a wedding she doesn't want to be in. She follows the rabbit into the hole and she goes to Wonderland. Everyone is convinced shes not the right Alice except for the Mad Hatter. We see the Queen and her henchmen and the Smiling cat.

The book Alice in wonderland is an Amazing book. If you want to read a non-fiction book this would be a great choice. This book shows that even if you are young and old you can still have imagination. You are never too old to have some fun in reading a book. This book does have some sad parts but other wise it is has a very mutual feelings and then some funny parts. I highly recommend this book if you like reading non-fiction.

Okay, I know what you’re thinking. Tui? What kind of name is that? Is it short for something?

Nope. Among the many great things to come out of New Zealand (the Lord of the Rings movies, cats that paint, my mom) is a bird called the tui—not as well known as the kiwi, but a heck of a lot noisier!

I was born July 31 (same birthday as Harry Potter!) in Caracas, Venezuela, and lived in Asuncion, Paraguay
