This story is very good, I will definitely read it again. This is the third book in the "Heirs of Kilronin Trilogy". I did not read the first two books but, this book did explain the prior situations.

It has been seven years since Elizabeth was left at the alter by the man she loved in her childhood. Eventually she is able to move on from the betrayal, humiliation and loss to try to make a new life for herself. She feels she is ready to marry Gordon and be happy, but the one man she never thoug

Think back to your growing up years, was there a special boy you had a crush on? One who always seemed to be getting into trouble yet could turn around and give you a smile to make you melt? Elisabeth knew one such young man, and she should have ended up getting married to him except he disappeared. Which would you rather do, take him back with kisses or slug him?

Elisabeth chose to use her fists, a true sense of her character peeking out in that moment. She is feisty and stubborn even

This is the third in this series and follows Brendan Douglas as he attempts to correct the evil that he has unleashed on the world. It started out very slow for me but then about halfway through began to pick up. The author left a few things hanging for me, but really a nice job of finishing the series. I love this author's writing and her combination of historical setting and supernatural world. It's so intriguing to me. In this story Brendan has come back from the dead and meets up with his fo ...more

Not quite as confusing as previous two novels in trilogy but still has areas of fuzziness. An exciting finish to the series as Brendan Douglas struggles to right the wrongs that he has initiated and attempts to protect those whom he cares about, including the woman (Elisabeth Fitzgerald) whom he jilted seven years prior. Unfortunately, he needs her help and inadvertently thrusts her into the middle of the evil Maleodor's plans for world domination. An unexpected four-legged ally accompanies them ...more

A perfectly wonderful and magical ending to this engaging trilogy. This book had just the right amount of blending to keep it driven but romantic. Rickloff was ruthless in her delicious weaving of danger and desire, could hardly put this one down! I loved the paranormal twist to the regency timeframe. New and exciting!

I have enjoyed this story, especially the writing and historical setting. I have not read the first 2 books and am anxious to do so as soon as possible.

I tried for months to read it. I never liked either character. Never cared if they rekindled their romance. Finally, I gave up having only read half the book.

Critically acclaimed author of historical and paranormal romance, Alix Rickloff’s family tree includes a knight who fought during the Wars of the Roses (his brass rubbing hangs in her dining room), and a soldier who sided with Charles I during the English Civil War (hence the family's hasty emigration to America). With inspiration like that, what else could she do but start writing her own stories ...more
