Well this was unexpectedly good.I loved the story, the characters, the ending...I've read this book in less than 3 hours.I love the fact that the story is captivating and breathtaking, you just need to find out what happened and what is the truth, but also the fact that the chemistry between our characters is wonderful-this book is a real page-turner.I loved Nicole

This was my fav book for a long time. It`s still in my top five. And not just because of the style it is written in, but the way emotions are conveyed - in a subtle, yet strong manner. I especially loved Connor, because he understands human nature. He understands a person`s mind, how someone`s heart and psyche works and Guillaume gave us some of the best lines in the book through Connor. The plot is simply incredible. I read the book in six hours and then I read it again and again. And I would r ...more

I read this book in less than an hour. couldn't stop and couldn't stop crying for the last 20 pages and 10 minutes after I finished the book. Amazing written, awesome story, beautiful images. and really, don't tell your friends the ending. It'd be the worst crime ever. AMAZING.

I have to say that usually, I don't enjoy reading Musso's books. The characters are stereotypical, empty and look like each other from one book to one other (successful business man, rich, and so on... Maybe he should stop projecting what his dream life is on his character, they would probably sound more... Human).

Nonetheless, I have to say I really liked this book. The character were deeper, strong and weak at the same time, and full of hope. I especially loved the end, but dear Goodreads reade

for the record, it's 3.5 stars. It was interesting but a bit unrealistic. Doesn't make you feel obligated to read in one breath but also doesn't leave you bored. A fine read, if you want my opinion.

this kind of stories are not my cup of tea
the author put so much dramatic narration which made me fee bored, he tackles universal themes that are overused by now, it is well written though

This is the first book of Musso that I have read. And the fact that I have read it it one day tells you everything. Loved it!

to me this book is a miracle.
so sad but true, love and hurt always go together. i love the way characters in this book search for lights and leave the past behind to make their life better little by little.
everyone always needs sympathy and understanding for their faults, right?

This is my first Guillaume Musso book. I've heard a lot of people praising the author so I bought this book. It was amazing to read this story. It's filled with all kinds of emotions and it was impossible to predict what will happen next. I really appreciate that because I tend to create scenarios in my head while reading and I rarely end up surprised. I'm so glad I was surprised by this book. It was beautifully written and the title really makes sense. The love and pain all those characters fel ...more

Still my favorite Musso, though it was the first one I read. Not that the others are lacking in comparison, but there is something about this story that holds on to you.
Excellent, from the beginning to the very end. And, speaking of the end - never saw it coming, despite the fact that I've tried to figure it throughout the book. So, please, please do not spoil this by retelling it.

Musso, in general, is an easy read, but has that certain something (IMO, at least) that makes him good enough to l

I definitely liked it ! I was so absorbed in this book that I couldn't stop reading.
Well, at the beginning, I thought it would be a simple book with a simple plot because the style was pretty simple. It's not great litterature with complicated words, well-written and sophisticated sentences. But what is really good in this book is its structure that holds you spellbounds till the end. It gives suspence and surprises and leads you to spend a pleasant time.

I really liked this book, especially because I couldn't realize what's going on until few moments before revelation, although all the sighs were there.

Like every other Guillaume Musso book that I’ve read (and this is the fifth one), it starts out perfectly and goes down the hill near the end.
It’s a real page-turner, you cannot help but continue reading to know what will happen next (even though you know it will probably disappoint you). It has a great character development, so many plot twists, the author tries to keep everything connected but than the ending comes and it always brings you back to reality, and you realize that none of what yo

One of the most popular authors in France today. From his early childhood with reading books and plays, Guillaume Musso became convinced that one day, he too would write novels. After finishing high school in France, Guillaume Musso left for the United States at the age of 19. He spent several months in New York City, living with other young foreigners and earning his money by selling ice-cream. H ...more
