Known for its speed and strength, the handsome Rhodesian Ridgeback is also a wonderful companion dog. In addition to comprehensive advice on how to select a Ridgeback puppy, feeding, grooming and training, you will learn how to burn off some of this active dog's energy.
Gave this a two-star because it was just an average book. Nothing special about it. Even the pictures in the last part of the book shows another breed. Not soley about Ridgebacks. Parts are. Parts are general information about all dogs. So.....if you don't already own a Ridgeback, then maybe this is a book for you.
This was a good book on Ridgeback, as I am getting a Ridgeback and want to know as much as I can. This book is good information some of the books seems a bit like speculation from the author and less science (Color and temperament are linked?) There is a lot of good information about training and additional research for the breed. There is a great deal of information about the history of the breed.
This book was ok for what it is. Disappointed there were not more stories of acts of heroism instead of just mentioning there are stories out there. Basic training and a smattering of other stuff on different activities you can do with your dog. Makes me want to go look for a much better book on this amazing breed of dog.
