cats!!
tonight, i am going to celebrate my cat by not spending all night at this silly computer, writing little book reports. i am not going to take our time together for granted, and i am going to go over and kiss her on her little furry nose. we are going to look at this book together, and i am going to tell her how much prettier she is than every one of these cats (although page 79 is a very close second). i am going to say, "yes, meow i love cats, but you are the only cat for me." and i am going to listen to her purr and tell the rest of the world to kindly fuck off for a night.
do the same with your cats, tonight.

An adorable celebration of cats!
Take a minute to rub your face in your cats belly floof, give them an extra treat or two, and break out the awesome feather toy. You know they deserve it. And they sure know it too.

One of my beloved students gave this book to me because she knows I love cats and quotes, and this book has plenty of both. If her intention was to make me smile and inspire me, then she surely succeeded. Clearly, these photos were posed and then shot by cat-lovers. Eighty-four wonderful pages of photographs, plus endpapers, celebrate the infinite variety of felines. The book contains full body shots of some cats and upclose photos of the faces and hindquarters of others as they leap into the air, wait patiently by a mouse hole, peer into a mirror, wrestle with another cat, sleep, and sleep some more. The quotations that are included all celebrate the infinitely intriguing nature of cats who keep us constantly amused--and often confused. I've already read this one several times and like it more each time.

Several shots seem like candid moments where a camera happened to catch kitties doing cute things. For the most part though, the images looked posed.
Many quotes come from famous, recognizable people. Someone named “anon” largely gets credit for the rest.
There’s not much to Meow - I Love Cats. It’s a coffee table book presumably aimed at feline fanatics.

I love reading books about cats so that's why this one caught my eye. How cute is that kitty on the cover?!
It is made up of quotes. Here is one:
To bathe a cat takes brute force, perseverance, courage of conviction - and a cat. The last ingredient is usually the hardest to come by. Stephen Baker
The quotes are accompanied by beautiful pictures by Rachael Hale McKenna, Catherine Ledner and Gandee Vasan.
Cat lovers will enjoy it.

Meow: I Love Cats is a wonderful book featuring quotes (about cats) corresponding with a full-page color cat photograph. There are also just full-page color photographs of cats without quotes. It was wonderful book to page through with beautifully simplistic photographs showcasing cats in all their glory. Great for the cat/animal lover in your life.
