I loved this story. This book was unlike most typical romance/action books. The story was believable, and the rate the romance moved along was more like real life. The main couple just didn’t fall into each other’s arms, or bed for that matter. It took time for the relationship to grow, and for Faith to trust Matt. I loved the end of this book! If you want to read a sweet, and subtle romance you will love this book. If you want to read a hot and steamy book, then this is not the book for you. This book does not have sex scenes. It was a passion filled, emotional and action packed book.

This book was so so. We never found out about who is targeting the senator or whoever. Which is the whole reason Matt was there in the first place. But I did enjoy the love story between Matt and Faith. It was an ok book but a lot of the little details were questionable. I would probably give someone the summary as opposed to recommending the book.

A wonderful addition to this series! I loved Matt and Faith's story! Full of action and surprises this is an amazing story!!! The Characters were terrific and the plot kept me intrigued throughout the book. A great book!!!

I normally really like Mallory Kane books, and the story for this one was good. I enjoyed it but there were too many editing/proofreading errors. I understand Harlequin books are produced rapidly and often an author has multiple out a year but where there are just too many continuity issues within the story/writing it really draws a reader out of the book. Thankfully I only saw one punctuation error, and I'm not an English major or anything of the sort so i'm just a normal person catching these. The biggest continuity error was where a character states he'd been working at the cafe for 15 years then on the very next page states he started working at the cafe in 1980. The book was written in 2011, has smart phones and Bluetooth so I know it's not suppose to be taking place in the 90's. There were a few other instances similar to this one that just pulled me out of the book and with such a short book anytime pulled out of it is too much. But I did enjoy the story.

Faith Scott, the owner of said cafe and very pregnant, could light up a city with her smile and send the seasoned warrior skittering like a colt at her touch. But Matt was there to save the governor, and protecting single mothers wasn't a priority. But when Faith's cafe becomes the center of danger, Matt knows he can't turn his back on a mother and child. Fast-paced, predictable.

Nice and sweetly innocent read. Matt is posing as someone just passing through town doing construction but is doing under cover security work. Faith owns a cafe and is 8 months pregnant and the father of the baby is long gone. Or is he?

Matt falls head over heals for her. He is a good guy with a mother and 4 sisters that he cares for. HEA ahead.

Slightly a who done type of story with nothing too drastically bad. A nice tidy little romance.

I liked the idea behind the relationship in the story, but it messed up in the end when the lovey dovey couple rushed together without much of a reason too. Maybe it was the realization that Faith almost died, that they should be together while they're living, but still, it's a stretch. I mean, getting married? They hadn't even dated yet! Oh well. I did like that the baby had some family moments with Faith and Matt. Those were adorable.

This was a sweet read and enjoyable if you want to see how a tough guys can show emotion but I feel like there should have been a little more humph to the polt and the characters.
