I've always loved Celtic myths, culture and history, and this is a great resource book on the subject.
It details gods and goddesses, festivals, myths and important historical places and figures.
I especially enjoyed the information on women's roles in Celtic society and storytelling, as rulers and warriors. Recommended.

This book is not really meant to be read from cover to cover, like I did, since it is meant to be more of an encyclopedia, but I still enjoyed working my way through it. It is written accessibly and is a good introduction to Celtic Mythology for older children or even adults who are just learning about the Celts and their culture/beliefs.
