This one just wasn't as good as the first two. The characters seemed really forced and some of it was problematic and a bit rapey if I'm being honest. I did like some more updates to the Guardians of the Holy Waters part of the story. I can't wait to see them get all of them!

**3.5 stars**

Not terrible for a novella with lots and LOTs of steam. There's an attempt at a plot but it's really not that well developed because of all the boinking. I felt a bit cheated that the 'big bite' wasn't as momentous after the guy tortured himself during most of the book because he thought he couldn't do it.

The whole relationship with the heroine and his father was weird. He was great dad until she grew up? That didn't make much sense. I also thinks it's weird that a woman would choose to prostitute herself not to marry a particular guy (it wasn't mentioned why he objected to him, but it's likely you'll see more objectionable guys as a courtesan. At least if you marry the guy, he'll be only one!

The narration by Eric Dove was good, just don't expect him to have an Italian accent.

It was great to be back with one of my favorite authors Tina Folsom!! The 3rd installment of the Venice Vampyr series follows Lorenzo. The self proclaimed playboy and friends of Dante and Stephan from previous books. One night while settling into his new home he finds a pleasant surprise by the name of Bianca waiting in his bed chambers. He thinks its a housewarming gift from his buddies and is very grateful. Whats an aroused Vampire to do???Rock her world thats what!! Bianca just found out that her estranged father has passed and leaves her his house and all off his debt. Then a mysterious man(Lorenzo) absolves the debt of her father and takes the house as payment. For Bianca no love is lost between her and her father so she has come back to Venice for one reason and one reason only...to claim the treasure her father once told her about when she was little that should be enough to start a new life for herself. When she meets Lorenzo he begins to be more tempting than any treasure she can think of.

Lorenzo is not one to trust humans...since he was betrayed by a lover once. But when he meets Bianca she stirs something in him that he thought was dead a long time. Bianca is no innocent...she's a courtesan trained to give men pleasure but this treasure of her fathers can give her a fresh start so that she can be her own master. What starts out as a quest for her own independence turns into the finding the one true person that loves and cherishes her like no other!

This was filled with lotsa emotion and scorching hot sex and I loved every second of it. I really connected with Lorenzo and Bianca and it was nice seeing old friends like Dante and Stephan and their wives Bella and Viola! I've never found a Tina Folsom book that I haven't liked yet and I know there will never be!! 5 Stars!!!

Tina Folsom masters the art of erotica romance. This novella was scorching hot, burning up my kindle and my panties :)

Her vampyrs are to die for and the stories are so enjoyable..

I wanted to read Lorenzo's story since first meeting him. Tina delivered with his story for sure. This novella brings us more into the Venice vampyr world Tina created. We get more detail on the Guardians of the Holy Waters. We also get introduced to more of the vampyrs. I really hope this series will continue. I love it.

I found it very refreshing that Tina wrote a character like Bianca. Bianca wasn't all perfect. She had flaws and that is what connected me to her. Even know Lorenzo knew about her past he didn't judge her. I really thought that was amazing. This novella was filled with so much passion and emotion. The story easily pulls you in transporting you into the Venice vampyr world.I loved the ending to this novella it was sooo very special. It is a must read for all historical paranormal lovers!

Great story. The first time I read it in print and I loved it. The author did an amazing job writing a story full of romance and excitement that kept me interested from beginning to end. The second time I listened to the audio and it was fantastic. The narrator did an amazing job of bringing the characters to life and putting enough emotion into the voices to make it that much more exciting. Well done to both of them.

OMG SO hot!!! I loved it. Yes, a few things were predictable, but it wasn't annoying. And the misunderstandings weren't annoying either. I really liked Lorenzo. His hidden compassion was so charming and cute.

omfg that one scene tho when she found the treasure...that was crazy. The author did a good job.

I think I enjoyed Lorenzo's story more than the other two books. Maybe because he was once in love with a mortal and things didn't work out as well as he thought or was it the fact that Bianca wasn't your typical innocent and pure virgin you usually read about. Nope, in fact Bianca was far from innocent and that could be why I liked the both of them together. Bianca having to run away from her father at such a young age and learning how to provide for herself made her grow up really fast and become independent. And Lorenzo, who was used to tumbling with women, taking their blood and then erasing their memories was his usual. Not when it came to Bianca. He had a tickling feeling within him that urged him to protect this human and had no notion as why. They eventually come together but not until all secrets have been revealed.

Although these stories are pretty short, I love that they keep me entertained.....and of course I get my happily-ever-after ending!

Looking for a short, quick, witty and HOT vampire romance, this may be the series for you!

This is about Bianca and Lorenzo. Bianca's father has passed away and his house and debts have been sold. Bianca is furious, not because of the house but because of the treasure her father often spoke of. She had to find it before the current owner takes over the home. Unfortunately, Lorenzo moves in before Bianca has a chance to search. Being caught in his bedroom she does the only thing she can think to do.

This was sexy and fun to read. The only thing I felt was missing was a little more inner dialogue. Especially, towards the end when there was a misunderstanding that was full of suspense. You could almost feel what Lorenzo was thinking.

As with most novella's I always crave more. It was a quick read that kept you reading more and more. I love what's happening to the neighborhood.

Another reviewer made the comment that Folsom can pack novel-quality writing into her novellas, and I must agree. These 3 novels of the Venice Vampyr series read like fully developed novels and didn't leave me feeling like I was missing anything. I enjoyed the different take on this story, with Lorenzo's complete turnaround from arrogant asshat to lovestruck fool.

I think perhaps my only issue with the whole series was that I wanted more of a Venetian feel - after the near drowning in a canal from the first story, the fact that the characters lived in Venice seemed like so much stage scenery.

This was the 3rd novella of the Venice Vampyr series. I have enjoyed all of the books in this series. Tina has a writing style that flows smoothly. Her erotica doesn't seem forced. The love between the hero and heroine feels sincere, not rushed. And the love scenes are off the charts.

I need more of this series. Tina can pack full novel quality into a novella. I hope she continues the story line cause I am very intrigued by the Guardians.

I have owned these books for ages but bought the box set for some reason. Not quite sure why I did that.
Really struggled to finish this as I didn’t care for Bianca or her actions. Only managed to finish it as it was in the box set and I wanted to see what was happening re the Guardians. Quite exciting what the treasure turned out to be.
Lorenzo was okay but once again a Rake (manwhore) as the hero.
Read in the box set of books 1-3.

I enjoyed this third installment of the Venice Vampyr series. This one dealt with Lorenzo the friend of Rafael and Dante, who were the focuses of books 1 and 2. It was very well done and we were introduced to even more of the Vampyr community, giving Tina much more fodder to continue her series with. I certainly hope she does as I have thoroughly enjoyed all three of these books! :-)

I encourage anyone that is interested in a delectable period vampire romance to get this series of novellas. They are heart warming and incredibly tantalising. The period dialogue was fabulous and the pictures in the book of Venice really transported me to another place and time.

The relationship between Lorenzo and Bianca was intense from the moment they were first in the same room together and only increased once they were formally introduced. And oh how I loved the way he introduced himself to her!

Good read. Not as hot as the previous books in the series in my opinion. Bianca was a little annoying and I thought the ending was too pat and neat.

The worst from the three. I almost left it because it was boring. The characters were indifferent the plot was very predictable and the sex had almost nothing new from the first two books.

This 3rd book in the series was OK, but not as good as the 1st two. Lorenzo fell in love a bit too quickly in my opinion. Other than that, it wasn't a bad story.
