Book 1: Maid for the Billionaire
Dominic Corisi knew instantly that Abigail Dartley was just the distraction he was looking for, especially since having her took a bit more persuading than he was used to. So when business forces him to fly to China, he decides to take her with him, but on his terms. No promises. No complications. Just sex.

A man's father dies, he meets his maid who isn't actually his maid, makes some cheap passes, blackmails her into accompanying him to the reading of his father's will, buys her clothes, has a tense showdown with his sister, jets off to Beijing with his not-maid, secures some super important contract with China, yells a lot, makes a lot of hasty accusations, shows off his sex god prowess, falls in love, asks the not-maid to marry him, jets off to his private island off the coast of Italy, finds hi ...more

It started off well. An angry billionaire heads home to Boston to deal with the death of the father he hated. He enters his Brownstone that he never goes to and sees the maid. Though she is not really the maid, she is filling in for her sister who is sick. The angry billionaire lusts after the stand-in maid and the maid says, "ew creep, get off me" but secretly she is seriously attracted to him.

Angry billionaire offers to pay her to stay with him she says, "ew creep, no". He finds her anyway and
Sweet, sexy, and emotional.

The plot was OK but slightly predictable. Two main characters were not quite relatable but likable enough. The pace was pretty fast. However, I was a bit confused with the drama near the end of this story. It wasn't what I expected and I think it was more frustrating than heartbreaking.

Overall, this was a satisfying and enjoyable read, nothing particularly exceptional though.

I'm actually very happy to have read this book!!!
Yes, I know the plot is very common, a billionaire falling in love to a normal woman. But that is not the reason why I admire this story a lot.

This story made me laugh and be proud to be a woman.

I love, love, love Abby here. She is just a teacher but her personality is really big and she is I guess the most smart lead woman character I've ever met. (or read). lol!.
She's full of love and positivity even though she's been through a lot. Sh

I got this book free on Amazon.

So I was expecting a fairly ordinary book (cynical of me I know)

However I am impressed.

This book reads like a Mills and Boon or Harlequin book. I was really impressed because I have read worse mills and boon book and this is self published without the benefit of an editor and copy editor.

Ive read some reviews that crap on about it being 'not realistic' my answer to them is HELLO, Wakey Wakey - its a romance story about a maid and a billionaire.

Has anyone EVER hear

The book started really fine, a dominating and angry billionaire who become interested to his supposed maid.
But from 50% of the book on it really went downhill with so many cliches!!!
I could understand his interest for her, his invitation for the reading of his father will and even the trip to China.
But suddenly it became to much!!

There are freebies, and then there are "thank you Jesus I got this free". This story would be the latter. If it's not a Harlequin Presents, it should be! Filled the the ridiculous, the corny and the "Are you kidding me?!" moments that make you want to scream with laughter (and not in a good way), this was, just plain and simply, awful.

Props for entertaining me, if nothing else.

2.5 I finally read this freebie after having it five years stars

This story was completely unrealistic, and I have no idea why I couldn’t put it down.

Plot - 1 star
Dominic - 2 stars
Abby - 4 stars
Zheng - 5 stars

But seriously I will prob not make it around to book 2

I am sorry but I thought this book was AWFUL!!! Thank God, it was free! I struggled to finish it because I don't like to start books and not finish them. It was so far-fetched and the writing was so cheesy at times it made me fall out of my beach chair laughing. There were points when I felt like I would hurl-- when the heroine so happens to speak the language of the country they go to and single handily saves the man's company from ruin although he is supposedly a shrewd billionaire business ma ...more
Oh dear, this started well but descended into nonsense at the half way point. It didn't recover.

The plot about how they meet and her involvement in his big Chinese deal was well plotted and involved me really well. Unfortunately it went downhill at the point where they started declaring their undying love for one another after spending less than a week together - and most of that time they were horizontal.

Sometimes insta love is plausible, sometimes it's not. This was a 'not' for me. The chemist

"Maid for the Billionaire" is the love story of Dominic and Abby.
On the day Dominic loses his father, he meets Abby cleaning his home. Instant attraction leads to him propositioning her, which she initially refuses- but later gives in.
In a Cinderella-esque story, he whisks her away to China where she inadvertently tries to help his business by listening to a political lady Zhang- which then leads to mild understandings and a cheesy HEA with all ends tying together (except his sister Nicole, but

I took a risk and dove into this freebie blind. I actually was trying to read the oldest book on my kindle that I hadn't read yet. I was not only pleased, surprised and happy but I'm hooked.

This was exactly what I needed. With being on the more conservative side of steamy romance I simply like just love stories with depth and no other drama. No side elements that I don't read, no other people drama just good old fashioned steamy love story. Ruth gave me that and more. See took a sexy brooding h

Even though the start between Abby and Dominic was a bit of mistaken identity which Dominic thought that Abby was a maid but he should have had a better way of speaking her. the banter between them was funny and I would have definitely slapped him but as the time between them progress it was fun, sweet and then came the understanding of the attitude.

I have really gotten lucky lately at finding new to me authors. I was intrigued by the title, and the book description sounded interesting. Since not only was this book FREE, it also had the audio version for $1.99. I downloaded it right away. I’m so glad I did. This is a great book.

Maid for a Billionaire starts out by introducing me to the hero, Dominic Corisi. He’s an angry, bitter man, feeling that his father has escaped the downfall Dom had planned for him. Although he is not

Money sure can't buy happiness. Dominic Corisi was proof of that. He spent most of his life gaining fortune after being disinherited and now that he was about to pounce on his father...the old guy up and died. He wasn't mourning his father, only the loss of his revenge. Running off to his home in Boston that he never went to, with all his mansions all over the world why bother. Seems going to the old Brownstone was about to change his life...for good and

I love a woman who doesn’t take so grief from a man, especially a powerful and wealthy man.
I didn’t really know what to think going in to this book, I went in blind like I like to. And I have to say kind of glad I did.

Dominic, a powerful man loses his father to death. He isn’t to heart broken about it but he doesn’t want to deal with the aftermath either. He isn’t a guy who takes no very well. Probably because he doesn’t get told it very much like at all. So rig

The timeline for this romance is ludicrous. Our main characters, Dominic and Abby, meet when Abby steps in to cover for her sister as Dom's maid. The next morning she's dolled up and accompanying him to the reading of his father's will. A day later she's on a plane with Dom to China. WHAT?

I get the whole falling in love at first sight thing, but traveling with that person to another country knowing that he's a hot head? IDK that's just really unrealistic to me.

I started out really enjoying this story.

I liked the initial flirtation and lust that immediately sprung into action when the both of them met.

Unfortunately it went down hill after that for me. Still a good, smooth read, but I ended up severing my connection with the characters by around 50%. I didn't understand why Dominic would want a stranger at the reading of his fathers will - yes, it was explained that he wanted a yummy distraction to keep his mind of the event - but I just didn't get it

I picked this book while looking for some easy reading to help me fall asleep. Boy, was that a mistake! I could not let go of the story until I had read the very last page.
Ruth Cardello is an amazing writer. She connects with the reader in a way that not many new authors do. I found the main characters to be very well developed and utterly interesting. I even like the villain (Stephan), as she has hinted that there is more to his desire to destroy Dominic than mere professional rivalry.

My journey into the world of Ruth Cardello started four years ago. I got my first Kindle and was introduced to Abigail and Dominic and the rest of Legacy bunch all in one day. Have not looked back sense. I now own the whole Legacy Series and the first two books in the Andrades series. This author is a must read. It was good, but it wasn't steamy enough for me. The storyline was pretty crazy for the timeline that it all fell into and the ending...... well lets just say I found it rather over the top cheesy.
But for a mindless read on a sleepy afternoon it did entertain me.
Also I was intrigued enought to want to know what is going to happen in the following books.

Maid for the Billionaire by Ruth Cardello

I really liked this story. It’s a contemporary romance with lots of humor about two strong people who didn’t know what they were missing in their lives until they found each other.

Abby is a middle school teacher who teaches English to non-native speakers. She’s a tough little cookie who takes no guff and holds her own. Dominic is a self made man. A guy that has lots of money and the attitude that stereotypically is associated with a man of power. He’s no

Not bad, sometimes you see a lot of good reviews and then when you read it's nothing like the raving reviews but I can honestly say it wasn't bad for me. I have to say though I was a little disappointed because I thought there would be 3 stories in one, as that's what's advertise, but it's actually book 1, book 2 & 3 are pending.

Dominic is the poor little rich boy with family issues, Abby is the glue that is keeping her little small family together. At a chance meeting where

Found this as a freebie on Amazon and so I checked it out. Didn't expect much from it but was pleasantly surprised by this self published story.

The author was able to capture the essence of the characters very well and even the development and expansion of the characters does not end at the beginning of the novel. Cardello develops them throughout the story, especially that of Dominic's character (the billionaire). Of course the story is not going to be realistic but it's simply a fantasy. And
