One of the more entertaining SAS novels (see Que La Bête Meure for background). On the eve of Gulf War II, Malko is sent to Baghdad to try and find a last-minute solution. A rebel faction in Saddam's government have promised that they can kidnap the dictator and hand him over to the CIA, in exchange for calling off the war. So Malko runs around as usual, shooting people and having sex with various hot women, as he tries to line up the deal. Unfortunately, as normal for this series, the problem is that what happens has to be consistent with known history, so we know in advance that the plan isn't going to work.
We do however get to meet Sadam's sons Uday and Qusay, who get surprisingly large parts in the story. From what I've read elsewhere, the author is being accurate in portraying them as, if that's possible, even more distasteful than their father.
