The speaker takes you on a journey of loss, pain, hope and rediscovery wrapped in a language reminiscent of the Romantics; yet certainly modern in tone and form. The collection can be read as a whole or as individual poetic gems. I highly recommend and look forward to reading more of Lauren Carter's work.
